They need a left back, centre back and a striker (at least one). God knows who would fit the bill at Barcelona.

I read Barcelona have ruled out a move for Arsenal striker Robin van Persie in the close season.
Guardiola has tinkered with the team too much. Why change a winning formula with all this 3-4-3 nonsense, trying to play Cesc as a winger. Hes one of the slowest players in world football. Insisting on playing guys like Tello and Cuenca instead of trusted players like Pedro.

Not that im complaining, glad to see them knocked down a peg or two.

If he had his body on the half-turn like he was supposed to, he'd be able to see both players and see where the danger was coming from and go deal with it. But he was ball watching.
Please, one player in the box and the midfielder should have followed the run not Cole. Asking the LB to watch the ball and the player making the run is nonsense and you know it. If Cole followed the run, there would have been a hole where Cole previously was and it would result in the same thing. There was no ball watching whatsoever, just poor positioning by CB and RW.

They looked far better last week and they were away from home but imo a lot fresher. Take from it what you like but you're right they are definitely fragile in defense, I don't think they are slipping that much but aren't as good as last season.

I can see them getting Alba and maybe 1 new striker while letting Pedro go.
I don't watch much of Barca but they did seem fatigued. Like I said too they had no plan b. The lack of height and physicality in the team is also bit of an issue for them to address. They need another centre back to act as cover. Mascherano isn't good enough at centre back for me. I don't rate Adriano at left back. They need to get someone in there. They attack down the middle and leaving their attack to narrow. A striker 6ft or more would be something for them to look at. Fernando Llorente would be a great signing for them. It would give Barca something really different. It would allow their wide players to actually get wide.

Im asking him to cover his flank and be aware of whats around him. If Cole had been aware of the run and dropped back, it would've narrowed the space on each side and he'd be able to see where the pass was being played.

You make it obvious that you're a noob sometimes with this ****.

Pirlo is an awful penalty taker

I don't know what Fabregas has been like all season but he looked flat in both legs. His first touch wasn't much to be desired. Lampard and Mikel really got the better of him.

Cole played Eto'o onside for the Lehmann sending off as well

Forgot about that. Flawless will find some way to make it someone else's fault.

What's your verdict on Lampard's influence over the two legs?

Nothing about Ronaldinho getting the ball in the middle and giving a perfect pass. Not the midfielders fault but the LB now
