Sorry, that is the sole reason. I tried to come up with numerous hypothesis but I keep coming back to the Ashley Cole theory.

He was ball watching. His body should be on the half turn to see whats around him. You dont understand.
That is ludicrous, and you are sincerely clutching for straws here. Cole is responsible for the winger; he doesn’t have eyes behind his head to follow every single run. You are literally asking for him to cover the winger and the player making the run, nonsense. No wonder your trash club hasn’t won a trophy in 7 years.

Cole was not responsible for the second goal at all

You don't need eyes behind your head to see whats around you. Ball watching is a rookie mistake and thats what he was doing. Im asking him to cover where the danger is coming from and he wasn't even aware of it.

I really didn't understand the reason to drop Dani Alves. Pique coming off early didn't help, Barca are small enough without losing one of their tallest players.

        The penalty miss was crucial.

The main problem Barca have is that although their style of football has always seemed to work well for them for the past few years they have no plan b if things aren't going right.

In the summer I think they need to strengthen in the left back and striker positions at least.

They are Arsenal with better individuals.

Funny thing is they could've done with Zlatan last night.

Can we all just agree Ashley Cole is a very good player and move on?

Predictions for tonight? Head says Real to win by a couple but I'd like to see Bayern do it and have a feeling they will win the Champions League.

Again, that makes nonsense whatsoever; the imminent danger is the man with the ball along with the other winger. Players always make runs behind but midfielders should track back. So if Cole tracked back, than the other winger would have received the ball and walk straight into the box and it would have been the same result.

To me Barca team just looked tired and downbeat from losing 2 in a row especially to Real.

They looked far better last week and they were away from home but imo a lot fresher. Take from it what you like but you're right they are definitely fragile in defense, I don't think they are slipping that much but aren't as good as last season.

I can see them getting Alba and maybe 1 new striker while letting Pedro go.

I don't rate Mascherano at centre back. Especially with a forward like Drogba on the pitch.

They need a left back, centre back and a striker (at least one). God knows who would fit the bill at Barcelona.

I read Barcelona have ruled out a move for Arsenal striker Robin van Persie in the close season.

You dont understand football. There was no imminent danger from a man standing on the touchline

If he had his body on the half-turn like he was supposed to, he'd be able to see both players and see where the danger was coming from and go deal with it. But he was ball watching.
