    Yeah he's alright. But the price quoted earlier in the window was something like £20 million. It's only this cheap because Redknapp loves a bargain at the end of a transfer window and Madrid don't want him anymore, kind of like the Van Der Vaart deal.

    Though with the exception of Carrick we've never usually played with an out and out defensive midfielder, and Carrick wasn't really a defensive midfielder until recently. Players like Roy Keane, Fletcher, Anderson are all box to box types who can do the defensive duties well and also get up the other end of the pitch too. Don't think we really need him tbh plus i think Fergie is happy with the squad as it is.

          It was a bit weird, their shape got narrower after Drogba and Anelka came on like a 4-3-1-2 with Anelka in that "1" position which probably isn't his best position and the likes of Benayoun could have played better there.

          AVB is a 4-3-3 man I don't think he'll shy away from that but the positioning and mini-roles of the 3 strikers is his biggest problem now.

              10M for Diarra? That's a ****in bargain, he's actually pretty good.

              It's not that Madrid don't want him, Diarra doesn't wanna stay in Madrid cause he's not getting the play time he wants. From the looks of it, Mou actually liked him cause Diarra would be used often as a sub or start when Khedira would be hurt.
