I don't live in London, my uni is in london. It's just one big overated ****hole though, for all the nice places there's about 10 other crap places plus everything there is overpriced to the max. Cheapest pint i can find is like a fosters for £3.60 which is a crime imo add another 20p or so onto that and you can buy 4 cans from Sainsburys for the same price.
