I still don’t know why you want Thiago so badly. He doesn’t assist, doesn’t score, has average tackles less than Jorginho. Great player, just doesn’t make sense, on paper, for Liverpool.

Looks like the league will naturally correct itself when clubs reload. United and City namely. Chelsea already signed werner and ziyech. Might get Havertz who prefers Chelsea and is hailed as Zidane 2.0

Doesn’t fix our dreadful defense. Kepa is surely gone, without question. So that’s fixed naturally and Chelsea still have a chance for silverware.

I think Zouma has shown enough that if someone good organises the defensive unit and gives him confidence in his own leadership qualities that he's worth a chance.

Rudi had a bad injury but he's had a torrid season.

Fernandez changed United. Completely different team with him. Considering what players go for today 80 million wasn’t that bad for him.

Gonna be an interesting summer transfer.
Wonder how much Madrid are willing to sell in James for?

I wonder how much teams are willing to pay in general.

Chelsea wanted early deals and stole a march on their rivals but you wonder about their finances and how transfer deals work.

Atletico Madrid for example owe Chelsea a lot of money.

We must owe cash to teams like Napoli, and even Monaco. People never really look at that as to how transfer deals work as the fee is split over their contract hence the mental price for Kepa.

I'd be surprised if an Atletico player didnt join Chelsea for an undisclosed fee. It is Costa and Morata they're paying for.

Someone like Kepa. Chelsea will want a long term loan and as his book price reduces they will try and get that but I doubt it. His book price now is £50 mill. Nobody would pay that in a million years. He is the worst keeper in Europe by every metric

What do you think about the game Saturday?

Logic says you should tool us, but we seem to step up a level against the bigger clubs.

As long as it's competitive and not a repeat of Baku I'll be happy.

Dunno, neither of us are consistent. Arsenal have won the last 2 FA cup finals. Form when Arteta came in must be very similar.

What Arsenal do have is 2 quality forwards and a real talent in Sako. When Liverpool stuck 3 forwards on our backline we got smashed.

Depends I'd prefer it if Arsenal sat back against us because I think they could get into us anyway. If you sit back we will play off Giroud and get into your own centre backs.

I bet someone gets smashed. Either way.

Delighted Chelsea finished top 4 and Lampard has been great but we are obviously not a particularly strong team really.

I'll be shocked if Arsenal hang back and just look to counter. With Arteta I expect them to play football tactically. While Chelsea, I think we've shown throughout the season that at times, we'll go steak and potatoes. As long as we do the dirty work early, the game should go our way.

I also think Chelsea are spending because they've had a window without it. Unless you count Kovacic's buy option. But outside of that, Chelsea saved up funds, got rid of Hazard and Morata for 155m combined and even playing politics, they did right by all of their staff and continued paying everyone throughout quarantine.

Chelsea are spending because honestly, they can, both cash reserves-wise and politics-wise.

Other clubs abandoned their employees, not wanting to pay the cooks and groundskeepers during quarantine. They'll look goofy spending huge sums when they refused to pay a window cleaner min-wage.

Also, I've been reading Newcastle's takeover deal fell through? Sheesh. There must be a something really bad with the club behind the scenes for a Saudi family with hedge fund to back out of buying a football club.

Apart from Bournemouth and Burnley and maybe someone else I dont think anyone followed through.

But the threat from Liverpool was enough. They betrayed their whole community in their glory season.

                      Can't frame it another way.

Weird how a Russian oil magnate is more sensitive to social issues than his American counterparts.

Chelsea have been a real credit to their community throughout. Giving up the hotel, refusing a player led offer for furlough, and then donating millions to women's refuge. Accepting the new definition of anti semitism and painting a mural on the stadium

Liverpool built a £1 million stage so they could receive their trophy in front of nobody.

If the media wasn't so Liverpool bias they would be getting torn up.

When fans are let back in. Opposition fans will taunt them about it probably until the end of days.
