Palace held Chelsea's head down the toilet and flushed for 45 mins.

Chelsea are good we are essentially the biggest ******* in the premier league. It's hard to watch. Just very weak when under pressure

The man is an amazing footballer, simply put. We don’t have a single midfielder who can dictate the game with the ball. A player as talented as him fits into every style of football.



Hendo/Gini and Fab can do the doggy work for him whilst he bosses the game.

But you don’t need that in your team, I don’t think.

Thiago is what you get if you combined Kovacic with Jorginho into a single person.

Do Liverpool really need that?

Amazing footballer or not. Doesn’t seem to improve Liverpool from what I can see.

City should get the ban but I think it will be 1 year instead of the originally stated 2.

They sort of have to with the s.hit Chelsea and Atletico were given.

Newcastle are such a dreadful team.

They have players better than teams like Crystal Palace or West Ham, yet play the kind of football that got Stoke and Sunderland relegated years ago.

They have 2 strikers, a winger, a right back, and a gk that could all start at Chelsea. Yet routinely go out in a defeatist 451/ 541. awful.

They have players better than teams like Crystal Palace or West Ham, yet play the kind of football that got Stoke and Sunderland relegated years ago.

They have 2 strikers, a winger, a right back, and a gk that could all start at Chelsea. Yet routinely go out in a defeatist 451/ 541. awful.

As an NUFC fan, trust me we don't. The players we have are terrible (mostly) when they have the ball at their feet and their movement off the ball is horrible in terms of an attacking point of view.

When we don't have ASM, we lose a HUGE amount of attacking impetus. Without Almiron we also lose that pace that the attack is built from. He does a **** load of running, likes to attack and puts some pressure on the opposing team. Without Hayden, we lose a proper DM.

Fabian Schar is good with the ball but he is on an awful run of form post corona. Fernandez, Krafth, Lascelles, Joelinton are terrible with the ball at their feet.

On paper we have some great players in terms of an attacking threat but they need to get the ball in the right spot. Our players are terrible at distributing the ball, not helped with terrible positioning and off the ball movement. Rafa saw this and played purely a defensive, counter-attack, low block sort of way. Bruce just copied what Rafa already had in place.

It's hard to watch.

Newcastle's keeper would start for Chelsea. There isnt a starting keeper in the prem I wouldnt try over Kepa.

ASM would get minutes.

Agree with Hay they have some ropey players. I like Lascelles as a muck and nettles defender but yeah limited.

I could see all of: Joelinton, Almiron, Maximin, Dubravka, and Yedlin. Improving Chelsea. (pre- Ziyech and Werner additions)

Take away Giroud and put in Joelinton or Almiron, it's an upgrade. Those guys can do what Giroud does but can also run.

Maximin is an upgrade on Willian full stop. Dubravka's point blank save vs City is better than Kepa's whole career.

Yedlin is a marginal upgrade on Reece and old-Azpi.

On the flip side, I would only take Zaha from Palace. And only take Rice, Haller, and maybe Anderson from West Ham.

Joelinton is dog****. You want to see a player do what he is trying to do well? Watch Rondon last season for us.

Yedlin is trash. He is quick sure and athletic but he does not understand how to defend. His positioning and knowledge of how to play his position completely is lacking. He is like all the speed demons in FIFA. Headless chicken. I rather have Manquillo over him....and I don't rate Manquillo but at least he knows how to play his position. I'd much rather have Reece and at least old-Azpi has leadership qualities that he brings and knowledge of the game.

Almiron isn't really an out and out striker. He's more of a midfielder who likes to attack but is also happy to run and defend, ready to wait for the counter.

ASM > Willian for sure. Dubravka > Kepa certainly.
