The point is i agree, we haven't really progressed into the title challengers everyone thought we were during March time. Don't get me wrong we had a fantastic chance at the league this year and but for goalkeeping blunders and not turning up to games against Utd and Chelsea we would have run them down to the wire.
But like you said it's not really cause Arsenal got better. IMO with the squad chelsea have at there disposal, i think they have had a poor season and United have gone through a transitional season due to the departures of Ronaldo and Tevez.

Utds team of last season was better than any team theyve had for a long time, their points total showed that. For the past 3 titles wins theyve had, guess in which season they had the most points, won the most games and lost the least games? Yep, last season. But they got worse right? Hmm.
