we need a top creative central midfielder, we cant rely on scholes, he cant play every game. The wingers are good. Nani, Valencia and Giggs can do it for another season. Giggs will carry on forever.

Id love to know how you worked that one out, theyre in debt because of the owners taking out loans on the club (for the record every top team bar chelsea is in debt), benitez has actually made most of the money hes spent.

In 6 seasons hes spent £80m, when you consider the champions league win brought in £40m and getting to the final got in £20m. But yes, benitez put the club in debt?


and yes he is well within his right, if hes expected to win the title, then yes he needs money. As do other managers, since he came to england only 2 clubs have won the title- utd and chelsea have won the title over the past 6 years- both have built their squads using big money. You cant win it without spending big, thats been proven recently.


As for him leaving, it wont make much difference. No manager can do better with the current budget which is 0. The clubs been lucky to keep him for this long because at the moment no other top manager would go near it with the owners there. But thats going to get sorted in the next months.

Liverpool as a club dont generate enough money to be able to spend that kinda of money, simply because there stadium does not generate that much. Liverpool have clearly been spending money they dont have.

dunno where you got 27m from, he was bought for 20m. liverpool spent 10m on johnson, the rest was owed to the club by portsmouth- who couldnt afford to pay it. This season the club made a profit- so yes they spent money they DID have. The players you named were only signed because of what the manager made by selling players. torres for example, was signed because the manager made 20m off selling 3 players! mascherano was signed because sissoko was sold to juventus. so hes had to weaken the team to strengthen it, that doesnt help. But the club hasnt been spending money it didnt have, thats wrong.

as for the 2nd bit, whats that got to do with the manager?
the stadium doesnt generate enough money, thats why a new one was meant to be made- but the owners ****ed that up. they dont have any money, and if you spend 15m per season you cant realistically be expected to challange when other teams around you are spending double what you are.

I'm happy about Everton having another top half finish but gutted wwe never got into Europe.

Hopefully Moyes can get some players in during the summer and give us strength to finish higher next year.
