Its all good!!! You don't need that kind of a spar mate unless your on defence and using your jab to control his movement. You should be able to guide him where you want him without and shots!!!

Comment for you; be carefull with when your squaring up! Your transition with your feet are to close to your opponent. A well schooled corner and fighter will se that and you will be lead into that fault. Get your steps for your body poistion done before your in punching range. One of Tysons biggest mistakes was changing over from conventional to southpaw when he was close. He meshed the step overs he was taught into standing in front and using both hands to the body or his "double right hand" (hook the body then an uppercut)!! Mike fought guys that weren't well schooled so he got away with it but I mention this to you so you know your to squared up and your not transitioning quick enough!

Find someone big and strong who knows what you know so sparring has more meaning. You know what I mean, be sharp! Ray.

That's my take too. At the same time that's a good lesson for him on why you should protect yourself at all times and never just expect the other guy to stop exactly when you think they're supposed to since sometimes people don't hear, misunderstand, or are just dirty. Not saying you're dirty, it didn't look like that, I just interpret break as 'move out of punching range and reset'.

        ^This

I absolutely cannot stand those who hit after break, called or not. It's a sucker punch in my opinion. I know sometimes people don't intentionally do it though.

That wasn't as blatant as Mayweather's. Fwiw, Mayweather busted a ***** move with Ortiz, but it was justifiable because of the blatant hit from Ortiz

Its questionable, in a match the worst you'd get is probably a warning. I think you taught the guy a good lesson about protecting himself at all times. But I think the move was a little cheap in sparring. I'd have told you to knock it off, but wouldn't have repremanded you.

Also you're open for the left hook.

I dunno about you guys but If the coach calls for a break I would back up from my opponent until we're a few feet apart from each other as if a referee just separated us. You don't take half a step back and start swinging, **** move imo.

He should take that as a good learning lesson for where he leaves his hands. I bet those body shots weren't fun to deal with.

Comparing this to Mayweather, Ortiz, I was expecting something worse. I had no problem with it.

Side note, you look more slim, how much weight have you lost?

I see it far different than Mayweather. The ref motioned to Mayweather and Ortiz to fight. Ortiz chose to stick his hand out, Mayweather chose to fight. In your situation someone called break, your opponent is stepping back to break and your stepping forward ready to unload.

I can't see how you could call this anything but a cheap shot.
