do you shadow box with out weights after you shadow box with weights?
if not id recommend it, even like after a few rounds on the bag since gloves are still 1 lb weights.
i hear it helps improve speed cause you feel alittle faster for a bit after you put the weights down and your actually training during that time while you kind of feel alittle faster.
something to help add alittle snapLast edited by Spartacus Sully; 03-08-2012, 08:57 AM.

Isak vs Askim Part 1
The game plan was to press the attack and not go backwards at all. He lost his last two fights trying to out point people going backwards so we wanted him to gain confidence in his gangsta. So he channeled his inner Orlando Salido and went to work.

Your boy put in some good work, congratulations to you both, and the other trainer I guess too. He kept the pressure on nicely, but when fighting a guy as basic as that it seems that he should have tore him up. He'll watch the video, the guy threw 1-2's and a jab throughout the whole fight. A fighter being trained under the calibur of trainer that he is should have easy rolled those one twos with a right hand square into the guys face followed by a left hook digging into his ribs. A win is a win, every bell answered a calling to war that I will always applaud. My guess is that the opponent may have had 3 fights at most. Your boy looked athleticaly vastly superior, he's a quick little guy. If your boy slows down his mind enough to actually do what you teach him I think he could do well. He's not thinking in there, he's not seeing. I would recommend that you spend some extra time working on coming in, rolling the shots and returning fire with out missing a step in the rythme. Kid has potential, but like I stated before his jab is for **** and he is not used to being in the oven the whole fight. He'll slow his mind down in time but you need to have him see the shots while being in complete comfort, well actually the comfort is from seeing the shots. It gives the mind time to work..........Rockin'Last edited by Rockin'; 03-14-2012, 06:04 PM.

Kudos to your boy for the srtaight righthands that he got down on and landed to his opponents ribs, those were his best shots in my opinion through the bout. I would have taken notice of that, how easily and how hard they landed, and got him setting it up. Those shots take more than you know out of you. Where were the hooks after? After your boy throws the right he brings his left foot back almost even with his right foot and then bounces it back into position. Not only does he miss the oppertunity of landing a follow up hook but he's setting himself up to get gunned down hard with that move. He does this move(?) when the guys are still awfulluy close and it takes but a fraction of a second squandered to find yourself sitting on your ass. When he fights anybody that knows how to fight they will pick this up immediately. It'd be best if he got rid of that needless step that put's himself completely out of position for way more than that split second needed. Real talk...........Rockin'Last edited by Rockin'; 03-14-2012, 06:00 PM.
