Hahaha. Nothings on my mind. Im just reading exactly what you're writing... and there's a lot of *******ual insults. Its all good though, im not gay =].

But I mean, you consider yourself "grown folk", yet you resort to gay derogatory statements. It shows everyone just how "GROWN" you really are.

you should just stop all the hating now.

Actually it wasn't intended. I guess sarcasm comes so natural to me I don't even realize it sometimes.

if your working on a bigger bag, your working on developing power.

while my form ain't what it used to be, i know how to hit a bag, i know how to punch.

I've been in the gym since 13. my main problem (which you did mention is ) i'm no longer light on my feet, also i just don't have wind anymore.

my first fight i was a lightweight, in my last (about 5 years ago.) i was 178. these days i'm 240 (down from 270) at 5'7" i'm just not gonna be light footed.

i see some things i'm doing wrong but i'm getting back to it after years away.

there is no way, however, you can tell me i need training in basics. i know what i'm doing cause i put the work in years ago.
oh i see your video...sorry for not clarifying...i was talking about the first guy and the young kid...only suggestion i can give to you tho is to move those weights before you trip...HAHA! nice combos tho...

Stick to straighter punches and forget anything remotely close to a hook or uppercut. At your height I would also suggest raising the bag so you can throw a straight punch into the middle of the bag and not have to reach at such awkward angles.

The last major flaw you could correct on your own would be to work on your spacing: Don't crowd the bag. Before you start hitting the bag stick your lead hand out in front of you and position yourself until you're standing where your hand could touch the opposite side of the bag. In a lead hand / rear hand stance you should be able to make contact with the bag with your rear hand without having to turn your hips. That's the right distance from which to operate. It will take some getting used to but it is one of the most self-destructive habits young fighters get into and crowding your own punches will take away almost all of your power.

And a last bit you can incorporate to your bag work; when the bag comes flying towards you step to the side and keep your hands up w/o throwing any punches to practice moving out of the way. Remember your spacing and stick to straight punching.

You've got some work to do but you're taking the most important step in trying. Props also for putting this out there for the world to see.
