really?? thats cool, small world hh?? yeah MClean Ave Woodlawn area got alot of Irish from Ireland there.. alot of bars and Irish diners.. nice area..

its 127 north broadway .. which is close to the hudson river, by getty square on that side of the city.. theres 4 registered clubs with USA boxing in yonkers

The Yonkers PAL, Yonkers YMCA which are both free

then you got Dragone boxing club which is on mclean ave but it costs money. and u got the jungle gym which is MMA and boxing so i wouldnt touch that

I have never gone to a gym to box as I don't do it as a profession, I'm just a fan. Lately though, I have been reading the kinds of routines that people are doing and I do that shizz at home. I thought I was kinda in shape, butafter I picked up on the cardio and started shadowboxing and stuff...man.

I think I have lost almost 5 lbs of fat in the last 2 weeks or so and my ability to recover after a cardio exercise is getting better each time. I jog 3 miles 3 times a week and shadowbox 12 full rds after running- practicing different combos for each rd (I'm a novice so I focus on fundamentals). I also have my own gloves and heavy bag, bag mits, and home gym. I started at doing one minute on and one minute off with the jumprope for 20 minutes, but now I'm up to 2 on and 1 off for 30 minutes; pretty soon I'll be doing full rds.

Not like this has anything to do with the thread but I get training for free. It sounds like going to a pro gym is kinda cheap though I might check into it when I graduate but there is no gym here where I'm at now.

**** man your gyms are expensive i pay 2.50 a session and there's no monthly fee. they only have proper sessions on a monday and wednesday though but if we got fights coming up they'll give us extra sessions on the weekend. the equipment there is pretty poor and our ring is tiny but the trainers are good and i've allways thought thats whats important
