the best way to lose weight is over 6months, slowely and eating healthy with interval training, weight training and generally no stress in life with good sleep and water intake.

you WILL fail miserably at maintaining the diet. rightly so too.

also to note, our genetics determine how fat we get, how much we burn etc...
Actually metabolic rebound is the single most beautiful thing that could happen to anyone who bodybuilds. If reed really decides to go all junk food he will most likely then not lose his results. HOWEVER if he goes the healthy(meaning good food sources) high fat/high protein/moderate carbs way and also trains he will grow much much muscle without actually gaining any serious fat..
And even that, velocity diet actually provides body with all the nutrients it needs to keep the muscle and be very insulin sensitive due to smaller amount of carbs and the timing of the meals. He is not starving his body, just his mind.
    So, your assumptions are wrong.
Take it from someone who tried almost every single diet from ketonic to caveman to velocity, they all work, its just that with velocity the whole plan is worked out for you.

I don't know why people are always looking for the next big diet. Eat right, cut your portions and work out and in time you will be where you want to be. In a healthy, proper way.

It's not easy, you won't get instant results but the results will be permanent.
