    I have done a lot of weight cutting.

    I've gone from 150 to 138 in about 36 hours, that was my most extreme.

    then i also did 167 to 138 over two weeks.

    if you are coming down to the wire one of the most important things is CLEAN EATING. when I cut I eat steamed chicken/fish and steamed veggies. nothing on them. plain. no dressing marinades or salts. you do not want to be retaining water. try to get your carbs from veggies, raw or steamed.

    if it comes to the day and you have to dehydrate, Abolene and a sauna room, or abolene and a sauna suit.

    very important is rehydrating after weigh in. i sip a pedialyte/water mixture. then a little watered down gatorade then after a bit a bunch of water and a very lite snack. your stomach will be very easily irritated.

    best bet is just to trim over several weeks. but it isnt always the option

            "how did u do that would love to know."

            no prob....

            I cut out most salts....

            breakfast = salmon/chicken steamed and steamed veggies.

            lunch = same

            dinner = same

            no condiments salt, pepper or anything.

            i increased my cardio, and increased my sleep. I drank only water and green tea.

            the final day i dehydrated. Abolene and a sauna suit.

            i walked in and weighed in at 138.5 i had to come in under 140.

            I also though had about 6 hours from weigh in to my first match. I felt fast and agile, but i did feel weak. my stamina wasnt affected. I will pull the whole plan off my computer and post if i can find it. but that was basically it.

            i drank a gallon of water daily, and the last week no fish just chicken because it has much less fat.

              here was the hard part, which ill never do again.... 24 hours before i was 6 lbs over.

              I drank as much water as possible for a day or so until i came to 24 hours before weighing in.

              24 hours before cut ALL food and water.

              Do one cut session before you go to sleep. (sweating it out with abolene and a sauna suit)

              You will lose about 3-4 pounds.

              You will lose about 2 over night pissing because of cutting the water.

              Do another session in the Am depending on where your weight is when you wake.

              Chill the rest of the day and you might just be 1 or 2 over and you will lose at least one of those throughout the day with small pisses and doing nothing.

              At most you might need to do one more cutting session and start that 1.5 hours before weigh-ins and be ready 30 minutes early.

                    sure....

                    i woke at 6 did cardio, either running or jump rope.

                    ate at 7:30

                    lunch at 12:30

                    training after work, then dinner at 6

                    light cardio and bed at 9 or 9:30.

                    Cutting like that is really hard on your body.

                    currently i use all of the john berardi diet plans from grapplers guide to sports nutrition. but i was in a bind and used a hard cutting plan.

                      I've quit grappling to only do boxing. so it will probly be a bit before competing again. im just going to try to stay a lean 155 and just compete there. no cutting more than a lb or two.
