    i think he knew he was going to lose but at least he could retire saying he tried.

    He fought strongly but not smartly if he used the jab more and move around the fight. but you know the guy got pride and most people now wont stand for him.

      erik quitted maybe for his health. he may be proud but he should also be smart. by the 2nd KD he probably thought its going to be over so I guess the decision was for his family.

        i bet when he retire and after few year nobody gives a **** about what he does. That is how sad it is? fans dont do **** but family does.

        reminds me too about Durans 2nd loss to SRL and the people of panama. just watch the beyond glory documentary

          He did not go out like a *****. He fought a whole round out of it! He was fighting back with dead arms and legs. I dont think he quit.

              How can you be sad to be a mexican? Erik gave everything he had, he went out like a fighting warrior. If you don't like Manny then you don't like boxing. Manny is a beast and was too much for Erik at this point of his career. Erik is a living legend and gave us all great memorable fights.
