Today i Am Sad To Be Mexican

Two brownskins faught tonight. One, a Filipino and the other, a Mexican. I feel the need to inform our mexican friends in the forums that there are lots of respect and good words for Morales being spoken aloud in various households here in the Phils. If Morales had been here in Manila, we would have accorded him the same adulation and treatment we gave to Oscar Larios: people standing in line to have a pic with him and autographs, and OUR very own countrymen giving him encouragement to beat Manny.

I listened to side comments from my peers here and there. There was all respect for Morales. IMHO, he's the only MOFO I know who would fight like that when he's buzzed. You'd never know when he's hurt until he goes down.

All respect for Morales. Congratulations sa pambansang kamao, Manny Pacquiao.

Actually, yes...though I do like competition which seperates us into teams, I have no need to try to seperate eachother from where you were born, what color skin you have, etc.

It does get a little problematic, but that discussion is much to long.

Take a person that is born in "America", is active in Government, and ****s up our country by going against its "ideas". To me, that is a trader, and a person who is no longer an "American"''

It is like the belief in "Democracy"...the ancient Greeks had it, and now the people of "America" have it...we are relatively the same based on how we should live our lives, and who we are...although the Greeks liked to consider everybody outside of Greece, "Barbarians", hopefully you get my point. It is the belief system that makes you who you are.

The ancient Romans had a similar way of handling things: If I remember correctly (and have the right information), the Romans accepted all those from the outside that wanted to join Rome, as long as they wanted to be "Romans."

At the end of the day, if we don't all get our **** together, it really doesn't matter. Then again, I am not sure about this whole situation either so ask me tomorrow and I might have a different opinion for that day.


My point is this, we are all "Humans", so we are linked in some way, and dividing us all through color and where you are born, over ideas of thought, is immature.

Why Shoud i Be Proud To be happy with morales yes he had a great carreer but today in my eyes in my heritages eyes he failed not cause he lost i dont give a **** that he lost its the way he lost. he wasnt out he just quit he wasnt even realy hurt he said **** it 3 years ago he wouldnt have he would of fought i guarantee he would of rather died in that ring instead today he wouldnt even try. and as for other warriors yes ur right but no matter how u look at it be sad one that once would of been considerd one gave up and that is a reason to be sad.

morales is a legend, and i'm glad he was wise enough to know when to call it quits...

i have always loved Morales even though he was a pretty good **** talker, cuz he always cared about his fans and the people who paid to watch him fight.

i have a tremendous respect towards Morales, showed his class accepting the defeat for the first time in his career. I think he finally realized it's time to go.
