Well I didn't start it...Floyd said he would "knock out" Ray Leonard if they ever fought...so I added Hearns because I am going to go out on a limb and say in Floyd's mind, since he can "knock out" Ray, and Ray knocked out Hearns, Floyd thinking just because he knocked out a tall fighter like Chico, he could beat Hearns too.
While I was at it, since Floyd thinks he is the GOAT, why not throw in the best welterweight of all time and who Ali considered the best fighter pound for pound to ever live, Sugar Ray Robinson.
In my mind, the "GOAT" can not be anybody that is not a Heavyweight, or at least anybody that can't compete to beat the best Heavyweight...No matter how good Ray Robinson was, I highly doubt he will last with the greats at Heavyweight. I like the guy who will come out on top, the best fighter.Last edited by Abe Attell; 09-15-2006, 03:41 AM.

Nah I don't think it's unfair. PBF is now fighting at welter and is about to fight for the linear Title why would that question be unfair? PBF was even quoted as saying he would knock SRL if they ever fought and even saying he's the g.o.a.t.He is even contemplating to up to 154 to fight Oscar.
I'm not messing up with you dude, I'm just making this thread more interesting.
It would more unfair and more of an insult if a fighter who's campaigning at welter and regarded as the no 1 p4p fighter would be questioned in his ability to fight with the best at the lower weight class.
Anyway this is all for discussions sake.

If he's not being considered a real welter then he has no business fighting for the welter weight title.

Just for discussion sake, please enlighten me on how the fight goes with Mayweather vs Hearns...inform me on the advantages and strategy that Floyd will use.
maybe it is very possible Floyd gets the UD over Tommy Hearns, but hope he doesn't get hit...hope Floyd knows that Tommy punches a wee bit harder than Corley, and unlike Chico, actually knows how to box using his height, and knows what a jab is...Tommy's jab is very fast and lethal...just some thoughtsLast edited by Abe Attell; 09-15-2006, 04:55 AM.

How u come up with that logic, u act as if u got to be the best welter of all time to be the greatest of all time. That's absurd to think.
Dude could have competed with them all and possibly won against them all. but it's all fantasy. Every great athlete has their time, my uncles and dad think Jim brown the greatest RB ever, but I think Barry Sanders is, they came from different times and each had thier greatness. Just like Robinson and Leonard had their time so does Floyd.
