Canelo can beat him today without training. He would ko Yildirim whenever he chooses. That is not to disrespect him and anyone who gets in the ring and fights, but it's a one-sided fight.

It's a mandatory.

Canelo has no choice but to take it if he wants to retain WBC title and continue on towards full unification at 168.

1. You can say the same thing about AJ and Fury since they sparred in the past... No you can’t, which fighter is in the others pocket AJ or Fury? Hmmm... Not really the same?

2. Are you knocking Canelo because Yildrim is the mandatory? Just trying to figure out why Canelo has a Mandatory? Isn’t he the Franchise God?

If Canelo is truly trying to unify AT 168 NOT 160 then he will eventually have to face some mandatories. This is just a mandatory fight in-between his real fights which are usually May/September. He just fought 2 months ago. Canelo is a Franchise champion. He is too special to fight any Mandatories what are you talking about?

Where is Jermall? Clearly with David Benevidez, Artur Beterbiev and Demetrius Andrade on Canelo’s keep them away from me list. When is he fighting again? He just beat the guy that beat GGG remember?
3. Is Canelo the franchise champion at 168 or was he at 160? Oh... so now the designation wears off at the next weight class when he “wants,” to fight the Mandatory? Man this Franchise designation gets even more magical every day. Is it a particle or a wave? Is it a belt or a designation? Guess we will never know until team Canelo’s tells us how it behaves?

So you basically are saying that Canelo can move up to 175 and be the WBC champ? No but he can move up to 175 and still be designated as the Franchise Champion. Hell he could go down to 135 and be the Franchise champion according to Sulamain. It is designed for guys who move up and down in weight. And have multiple belts. Did you not see his recent interview? That is unless the Franchise designation morphs into a belt like Teophemo’s. To be honest I think it just makes you a champion forever. If Canelo goes to the UFC he will be the WBC Franchise champion if he pays the sanctioning fees.

Canelo wouldn't fight Smith after looking good in his fight beforehand or with a full training camp. But with Smith looking bad against Ryder, and only getting 3 weeks to train and travel with the size he is at the weight, Canelo all of a sudden wanted to show us that "Mexicans don't f3ck around".

He sent offers to Saunders and Plant neither of them are ready even though they are "champs" who else would you have him fight at 168? List them your dream fights because he's on route to fight them all but when he outclasses them then you will call them bums like you are doing with Smith. Before the Ryder fight everyone was calling Smith the top 168 not me but the forum was and they also said at one point Canelo would never fight him and he did classic boxingscene hater.
