Now, after the fact it seems Spence is being penalized for accepting Mikey Garcia' challenge. Garcia "thought" he detected a weakness in Spence that he could exploit and he called-out Spence . Truth is, had Spence ignored Garcia and instead fought someone else he would then be accused of "ducking" Garcia. I've seen it happen plenty of times.

Nobody but people on here would have said that. What really trips me out is when the fight was announced everyone picked spencer by ko and shamed him for taking the fight. Yet after spencer got the decision he got praised. Like wtf he shoulda had mickey out of there. He didnt even get a knock down like what a **** performance.

He's a very good fighter he deserves to be highly regarded. Obviously he is pushed as a PBC PPV superstar so some will blow his hype to ridiculous levels but let's not kid ourselves he is a very good fighter.

What fight was it that sold you on spencer? Was it his decision win against lightweight mickey, his struggle to barely beat porter who thurman and brook beat more easily or stopping brook who was off for a year and had eye surgery after getting destroyed by golovkin?

Seriously i dont get it. Why is he praised and hyped up so much? Look at guys like golovkin and Thurman. They're called hypejobs and bum beaters cause they knocked out everyone until they fought the top guys. Same with errol. His claim to fame is decisioning a lightweight he should of knocked out in mickey garcia and struggling with porter. I mean am i missing something here? Props to him for beating danny garcia but honestly i think they either did some million dollar man shiet on him or hes on roids.

Spence been dipping his toe in the jr midddle in the pro's too, look at the weights.

Now the question you got to ask yourself is this, how is a man with all those fights in the pro's above 147 still dipping his toe into the welter weight division? All fighters, all great fighters move up in weight and continue to be great,

Spence be moving down and hanging around, why though?

I'll tell you why, because he's only this good because he's really a jr middle beating up on smaller guys. He can't hang at jr middle. His power don't translate, he knows, his team knows. Hell his power isn't translating against the top guys in welter. Charlo's and them would skin that kid and eat him alive, KO'd dirty.

Erroll has beat the majority of the top guys. He's not ATG status but he's def creme of the crop. Porter vs Spence coulda gone either way, and I suspect if Brooke hadn't been hammered by GGG it may have gone the other way as well. Brooke had an unfortunate career, people forget how easily he beat Porter.

Spence can now fight Pac (whos old now but still dangerous at least, and experienced) and then he can fight Crawford.

He's def not a hypejob though, hes done enough so we know hes good. First fight back he beats Garcia the way he did.

most great welters were "big Welters" you are supposed to be as strong as you can be within a certain weight class. That being said I don't think weight matters as much as you think.

In his case though it is a factor, and in Canelos case it was a huge factor - in fact I think it was actually hurting him at 154 how tired he would get.
