That’s not how the legal system works. Wimpy tried to pull that with Popeye each time by saying “I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.?You don’t get to decide when it’s convenient for you to pay a civil judgement all the while ignoring court orders. The judge was tired of hearing the Wimpy excuse.

Broner has a lot of kids, hasn’t fought in nearly 2 years and seems to be very low on cash. How does locking him up in jail where he’s at high risk for catching COVID and missing his fight (and primarily source of income) on Jan 16th help the plaintiff and society? This judge is taking it personally for what she sees as Broner disregarding her court order. It’s a pandemic, she could have made other arrangements that would lead to a better outcome where Broner stays healthy and can work and ultimately the plaintiff gets paid. Listening to Broner in court, I don’t think he can pay $800k and he seems to have responded to a key request but the judge wasn’t satisfied with it. Broner seems to be in the midst of ery hard times asking Espinoza, Gervonta Davis and Al Haymon for $ and locking him up in jail does nothing. Broner could stay out of jail, stay healthy, fight on the 16th, pay the plaintiff and of course feed his kids.

If that was your daughter would you be like go make a million and bask in the limelight with your lowlife friends then come see me in my courtroom? Don’t work like that. This fake hood character isn’t going to work on anyone with half a brain. The IRS is going to be investigating him starting tomorrow. If he has not documented his earnings over the years he will do three years for tax evasion. Don’t pick fights with someone who owns you like this judge.

He's had to pay off a good number of lawsuits in the past couple years outside of this one, and has six BMs he has to pay expenses for. Dude is going to be broke the rest of his life unless someone intervenes, but a lot of people have tried and it may be too late.

Honestly, I really hope he was telling the truth in that video where he said Haymon didnt pay him for the Pac fight. Hoping Al has it somewhere safe accruing interest for him.

Of course he got paid, unless he already owed that purse to Al, which would not surprise me. Unfortunately he is just another boxer of a giant list who struck it rich, got spoiled and spent too much showing off. He then got lazy and the money train stopped and what he had left dried up.


This story is all too familiar. The list is so damn long. Very few fighters come out of the fight game wealthy. The blood suckers that surround them, the women, all work their damnedest to bleed them dry. They eventually move on when the money is gone.
