When you ignore court orders to respond or appear. He has kept stringing the judge along trying to “run out the clock?thinking this will just go away if he ignores long enough. It’s obvious he ignored court orders to appear otherwise there wouldn’t have been a “default judgement.? This isn’t the court getting a “lil too powerful.?This is an entitled, spoiled, little brat thinking he can ignore court orders and no consequences will be forthcoming. He got exactly what he deserved.

Yeah he think he is above the law. I actually thought he paid off that 800k and that’s why he ignore the whole court thing. Oh well he better make sure his rap career or dice throwing becomes more lucrative for him...

Broner has a lot of kids, hasn’t fought in nearly 2 years and seems to be very low on cash. How does locking him up in jail where he’s at high risk for catching COVID and missing his fight (and primarily source of income) on Jan 16th help the plaintiff and society? This judge is taking it personally for what she sees as Broner disregarding her court order. It’s a pandemic, she could have made other arrangements that would lead to a better outcome where Broner stays healthy and can work and ultimately the plaintiff gets paid. Listening to Broner in court, I don’t think he can pay $800k and he seems to have responded to a key request but the judge wasn’t satisfied with it. Broner seems to be in the midst of ery hard times asking Espinoza, Gervonta Davis and Al Haymon for $ and locking him up in jail does nothing. Broner could stay out of jail, stay healthy, fight on the 16th, pay the plaintiff and of course feed his kids.

Broner’s baby’s mama’s drama is of his own making. I have little to no sympathy for him sticking his prick in every hole walking without protection.

The judge has given him chance after chance after chance after chance and all Broner has done is....nothing...he’s made no effort paying the woman her settlement. A court will see that you’ve made good effort if you agree on a payment plan with the court. The problem is Broner decided to not even show up to court or answer summons. He is being punished plain and simple. He’s gone beyond the point of even making an effort to pay any restitution. If he’d gone in with paperwork that he’s started to make ANY payments he wouldn’t be in jail. In his own words money given to him by others has been spent. He sunk himself into this hole and now he his facing his punishment.
