He took us on a historic run where people kept saying " no he won't win at this time' lol. Look at the featherweight division itself, he beat the 3 kings down there, barerra, morales, jmm. That alone those guys are atg's. What he did in the lower weight classes was really special. Why else would Murad Muhammad scout him and sign him internationally from Asia? He built up a great resume once the run was over, but still hanged in there with the best after. Cotto and Mosley both verbally touted him as the best they ever faced. Mosley effed up his foot in that fight caz Manny had him backpedaling causing an enormous blister that was excruciating. Miguel was on his way to almost getting ruined jmo but his corner threw in the towel, where as Mosley s corner wouldn't.
Im not downing his whole career just saying its not as legit or down the gun barrel as his fans want to push down our necks.

Manny is a great fighter, he had help building the item up to more than what it really was is what Im saying.

The fan and media just blow over the weight clauses not realizing how instrumental there were in winning his biggest fights allowing him to piggy back off the public hating Floyd.

As I said if Manny can destroy the best Cotto and ODH why couldnt he destroy all these LWs that went the distance, they were not drained they were stronger going up, not weakened going down is the reason.

I never believed the PED allegations of Manny I always believed it was the scales and cherry picking them at their most vulnerable.

A great fighter no doubt with a man made to order career.

No different than Jr. with the majority of his wins. He even said he wouldn't take a fight he could potentially lose (my signature quote). To me, he was ALWAYS looking to be sure the fight was handicapped in his favor. Anyone that fought him had an up hill battle from the get go.

Now Manny on the other hand, whether some people on this forum want to hate on him, it's not denying the public's perception with him. He was in Soooo many fights that the public had him not to win or barely winning. Yet then he goes in there and demolishes or over exceeded the expectations. To me, that is greater than when you watch a guy that you know is going to win and his opponent has no chance (Fraud Jr.).

I probably only brought up Fraud because you basically can't talk about Manny without talking about him. There is no one else recent that can be comparable that has done as much as Manny. The dude started at frikin flyweight. I watched him Live since Featherweight. Not in my wildest dreams would I have imagined he'd have a second career at Welterweight. He did so much at Featherweight. I think people were calling for him to retire following the Erik Morales 2 fight. Then like, 20+ fights later, he's still at it. That is nothing short of astonishing.

You also, no matter how hard you try to hate can shake the fact that at 40yrs old he managed to beat who was considered THE MAN at WW in Thurman who was like 10 years younger. I don't care that Thurman was coming off a weak win. He was 10 years younger and didn't just forget to box. In fact against Pac, he looked great for the most part. Pac was just on another level that night. It's just a testament to how great of a fighter he is.

He is ATG material no matter what. Where in that ranking is debatable but being there should not be mistaken.

But Floyd and manny share most of the biggest names on their records

Floyd usually beat the better versions of these mutual opponents

Floyd did something manny couldn’t by clearly beating Marquez

And Floyd beat manny himself which sealed the deal

manny’s recent longevity is a feat in itself

The biggest names on their records are shared between the two so I don’t see how anyone could have Floyd or manny more than 5 spots ahead of the other
            I agree wholeheartedly

The fights he wasnt supposed to win , he was betting fav in most of them.

The way you pump up Thurman tell volumes of where you come from with Manny, the reality is Thurman was badly injured and not the man at WW, yrs out and nearly stopped in a comeback fight and then Manny in which he was injured again during the fight needing surgery.

Its like I say so many times you guys sugar coat wins and never look at the all factors in play that effected the boxing.

Of course Pac s greater. Pac has 2 or 3 wins over his biggest name peers if not robbery. Pac s always did things on a grander scale and prove himself more erasng any doubt. Where's Floyds rematches? Winning one fight convincing don't make you better than just on that night on that particular day in time. Doesn't suggest you'd win second fight, let alone third

Floyd fans perspective on greatness is distorted. Floyd fans think a cheating scales wins is deemed better than Pac 3 wins over jmm if not scorecard error?
Floyd fans disrespect history of sport, so selfish, it's all about floyd
