He wasn't #1 in 2019. He automatically lost the top spot when he took two years off. Struggling with a tune up doesn't make you #1 again.Now, If he would've beaten a top 5 guy in his first fight back then you could make a point but he didn't.

Stop with excuses. Floyd looked poor against maidana when most decent fighters would win 12 rounds with maidana like Devon alexander but Floyd still remained no1, and you'd still get credit for fighting and beating floyd even if Floyd made maidana look elite.
