I think Loma's "delays" were just smart gamesmanship. Loma and his team are aware that Lopez is having a tough time making 135 and so they wanted the fight to be as late as possible to make it as hard as possible for Lopez to make weight. You get to do that when you are in Loma's position.

I have a feeling this fight may not happen because of the virus. I wouldn't consider it a duck by either guy if it didn't.

Well, one of them made Canelo drop his WBC title and run away and hide waiting for him to go over the hill, then resort to PEDs when he realised that even at 36, the old guy was still too good for him.

just imagine being that privileged and whiny of a bytch as an american boxer. literally fighting you in YOUR country despite you being the b-side. absolutely tone-deaf americans. it reminds me of celebrities crying for sympathy on twitter during the coronavirus from their mansions while the poor are worrying if they have enough food to eat.

i really, REALLY cant wait for the day where russia/china are the superpowers and every fight is held over there with 3 chinese/russian judges and a chinese/russian ref and the a-side americans have to go overseas every fight despite being the a-side.

lopez is a bytch. not a fan, cannot stand whining entitlement from people who are already privileged. wasnt too interested in this fight but hopefully his entitled ass gets ktfo back to where he came from...oh wait, he comes from the usa and the fight is in the usa, nvm.

You are gonna find one hispanic fighter after another to pick vs Loma till he retires or gets beaten.

what is the big deal about fighting in boxer B's hometown when boxer b is 22 and barely has a fanbase and youve already headlines in said town a few times now and are a top 3 rated p4p guy that is the one of the faces of the espn/tr boxing program

like what advantage does this give lopez fighting in ny? nothing

                Lopez looking silly here.

A win over Loma would launch him into superstartum he needs to take this fight wherever it's at.

Lopez is acting like Vegas and Cali is Lomachenko's hometown.

its not an advantage to fight in your hometown? why doens't lopez fight where loma wants? isn't that how it usually works in boxing? most big fights take place in vegas anyway. lopez is the one breaking norms by demanding the fight take place in his hometown.

                    More than that.

If Carnelo called out Charlie Zelenoff, it'd break records.

I feel like lopez is being more of a " diva " then Loma. And iam neutral , while I respect and enjoy watching loma and lopez iam no big fan of either . Hes making demands being the "bside " it's his first shop at a great, he should take the fight and win no matter what the stipulations ( not like what is being proposed is unfair ) if he is truly confident in himself. I wont be surprised if this fight even comes off . Iam not convinced that arum wants lopez to fight Loma this early . But that's just my two cents . I would hope if the virus postpones it any longer that they reschedule and dont scrap the matchup . Altho I think If it ends up being postponed too long teo will have a tougher time making 35 I know they have been saying for about a year now that a move up in weight is going to happen asap . I hope we dont miss out on this, because this is prolly the last chance for it to happen,I dont think Loma would scrap lopez if he doesnt have a strap and I dont see Loma moving up to 140 unless it's the perfect ( very winnable ) matchup for a belt .
