He is no longer a top 10 HW in a HW division that is very top-heavy ffs.

You have Fury, Wilder, AJ, Whyte, Ortiz, and Ruiz. Then the rest of HW, and Chisora ain’t even there.

“You can tell people like that don’t watch boxing”...weak ass accusation. Smfh. He’s done at the top level and you know it. Why lie to yourself and point fingers?
He is still a durable fighter. He slumped massively a few years ago but has come back and put on some good performances, even in defeat.

No way that Chisora is a step down from Witherspoon. Not a MF chance. Chisora is head and shoulders above Witherspoon.

Chisora is going to be a big test. I'm not a bookie but would see this close to a 50/50 fight as Usyk is truly untested at HW. I would not be surprised if Chisora wins.

Just want Usyk active. For all the chatter, the only way for him to prove he is a HW is to... you know... box at HW. I am 100% fine with this. Even if this is a "B" level fighter who may be slipping to a "C" level fighter, Chisora is not a scrub and it is a legit 200+ pound fighter. It is the kind of fight Usyk needs. He wants Joshua, for all that is Holy. Say what you want about him, but AJ will not be worried about a blown up CW. Usyk needs to be a legit in this division, and he needs the work and training. Chisora will force him to be legit.

Chisora is being undersold by some people. Hes only 3 years older than Usyk, in the last 18 months hes sparked out Price, Takam and Szpilka and his losses are either vs top 5 level fighters, robberies or close decisions. If you can get a comfortable one sided win against him, you're probably an elite HW. Thats why this is a good test for Usyk.

Usyk is ducking real opposition in Heavyweight. Heck, even Hunter, whom Usyk beat before in Cruisers would be a darn close fight now in Heavyweights and Hunter can win it.

Yet Usyk brings a fight to an old slow fart... AT LEAST IT'S NOT A LET'SGOCHAMP BRIGGS!

It's a bit harsh accusing Usyk of ducking real opposition at Heavyweight when it took Wilder about 10 years to step up his level of competition from binmen and pizza delivery drivers. If anything, Usyk is moving quickly - especially considering his next fight is potentially for titles.

Usyk is fighting Chisora now because he's a decent step up from Weatherspoon and, more importantly, it's a UK PPV fight that will do good business. Chisora has a following. They're not going to choose a non-PPV fight against Hunter over that.

Who the heck is Price? That guy has the worse chin in HW boxing history. He can not get a win vs a remotely good HW. That dude is like bizzaro Tyson Fury. Has the size to be really good but instead he is terrible.

Usyk is fundamentally great, but does he have the power to knockout really big heavyweights?

Granted, anyone at 6'3" 213 lbs can land a knockout blow. We recently seen this with Ruiz at a gracious 6'2" 250 lbs against AJ, but the heavyweight division is more of a super heavyweight division with the top 3 heavyweights at 6'6", 6'7" and 6'9". With the exception on wilder AJ is around 240-250 ish and Fury is a girthy 273 lbs. Can Usyk hang?

Wilder has been knocking people out at 209-213 lbs but he is 6'7" and generates a lot of power with his height and lengthy baseball pitch punch. Also, wilder is usually punching downward which is why he had trouble with Fury.

Sure, Mike Tyson was modest 5'11 knocking guys out that were 6'5 in his prime, but he was a different animal in his early 20s with great foot work, head work, hand speed, combos and that quick right to the side followed by an uppercut that more than likely put his opponent to the canvas.

I just don't see this with Usyk. You can make the comparison to Mike Tyson in size vs competition. A 6'3" going up against 6"7 or 6'9" but Usyk is 33 years old and he's 213 lbs. Granted Mike Tyson ar his prime weighed 215-220 but he was 4+ inches shorter than Usyk.

I think Chisora is like 240 lbs. Not that weight is the definitive matter but it is harder to knockout and bully a bigger guy. Sure Usyk can out box him for 12 but thats not gonna be good enough going up against the likes of AJ, wilder and fury.

Idk... Usyk would have been a fantastic heavyweight back in the 70s but the heavyweight division is now a super heavyweight division. Maybe he'll prove me wrong and i hope so because we need more contenders in this division.

Whyte is more dangerous stylewise than Chisora. Louiz Ortiz, Snickers Ruiz... A Chisora kind of a fight should have been 9 months ago for Usyk. It's been how many years since he became absolute Cruiser and announced going to Heavyweights?

This is a good fight. After this Usyk should fight Hunter again at the HW. It will be a war

This is an easy fight for Usyk. All he has to do is stay elusive and he wins.
