Why wouldn’t he want it it makes him the most money doesn’t it? Fury vs AJ is a mouth watering fight. Nobody wants to see Tyson beat Wilder for the third time. I am a proud black man and listening to Wilders excuses over the 2 fights with Fury has been nothing short of pathetic. He speaks about loyalty lathe way he has treated Breland. First of all lets make it plain and clear Right Hook now... Nobody in the heavyweight scene beats Fury, Joshua fought Ruiz like he was going to get knocked out in any second. Wilder got beat the first fight, he was exposed. Fury used science on Wilder, he knew if he kept him going backwards that would negate his power. Wilder has nothing going backwards... Count him as done. Maybe Wilder vs Ruiz or Joshua may be worth tuning in. Otherwise wake me up when you find someone who can beat Fury. How about the guy from Cuba who almost beat Wilder ? Lol...The smoking gun?... So today anything is solvable with money. However what has been rarely solvable is how to make the fights we want to see? So we know Hearn has the money so it must mean he just didn’t want to make the fights.

If I were Wilder, I would take the stepside money only in exchange for a solid contract to fight the winner of the British Super Bout next. Just makes his next fight even bigger and gives him time for a tune up.

I get the impression after reading that, that Arum wants the Pulev fight signing for because he really wants a Pulev victory and believes there's a chance his man could pull off the upset, he's already said as much.

He'd refuse stand aside money as nobody wants to fight Pulev after not because he's dangerous, just because there's too many other vested interests. This is why he wants it signed and over the line.

Arum knows that Wilder has to exercise the rematch clause to even qualify for step aside money so he figures that's what will happen as Wilder will want to portray the 'Warrior image' to salvage a morsel of pride - he's still in denial.

Then I can see Arum showing no interest in paying Wilder a dime, knowing that Tyson barring a miracle will come through again unscathed.

Then providing Pulev pulls of a shock victory he stands to earn double bubble as a promoter of both Fury and Pulev and he will have FULL control, away from PBC and Hearn.

Worse case scenario Arum makes a wage off Pulev getting smashed and Fury rematch, knowing that he'll earn big time again in the Fury vs Josh fight.
