Wilder reminds me in many ways of one of his past opponents, Charlie Zelenhoff. Unless you physically kill him in the ring he will with all sincerity spout excuses about how he didn't lose. Zelenhoff still speaks of having defeated Wilder. Wilder says that in spite of bleeding out of the ear and nose and barely being able to stand he was not hurt.
He also wants us to know he is a big tough warrior but at the same time havi g to carry the equivalent weifht of a 3 to 4 year old child in to the ring was enough to drain all his energy.
Even down to his claim of Fury punching like a little girl, why did you go twelve rounds life and death against some that punches like a kid. Am I supposed to respect you more for that?
As it stands if Wilder doesn't die in the ring then in his head he wins. What a deluded prick.

I see most coaches more emotional during sparring. Breland took his sweet time getting in the ring between rounds and ffs why don’t they take out the f n mouthpiece. The whole point of the one minute is to recover get as much oxygen as possible. You’d think a former fighter would know that.

I don't hold Wilder comments about his trainer against him for the simple fact that 1) he got his a$$ whooped on PPV and it's his first professional loss 2) He probably should have switched trainers a long time ago to fix his fundamentals 3) He's upset about his trainer throwing the towel in when it wasn't his decision to make and they clearly talked about this kind of situation. I do think it saved him in the long run but its the embarrassment of it, especially with Wilder's ego. This loss could be a good thing if he uses it to get better. This is a emotional loss for him so I expect his response to be off. He should have switched trainers a long time ago. Hekk he could have changed after the second Ortiz fight because he was losing too many rounds in that fight. Being loyal to a trainer can hurt you in boxing sometimes and it caught up to him.
