Comments Thread For: Wilder: Breland Influenced To Throw Towel By Anthony Dirrell, Who's Trained By 'Sugar' Hill

Two days after suffering his first defeat, Deontay Wilder was still trying to figure out why Mark Breland threw in the towel Saturday night. Wilder has always instructed Breland, his longtime assistant trainer, and head trainer Jay Deas to never throw in the towel when he's fighting. Deas also told Breland not to do that when Breland mentioned it as a possibility in Wilder's corner while the former WBC heavyweight champion was taking unanswered punches from Tyson Fury during the seventh round.

Gosh please stop, just stop. Can’t someone take away his phone? He needs to be silent like Al Haymon right now.

Wilder looking for any way to discredit the a$$ beating he took. I think it pains him more looking back, all the race baiting and yapping about and solely depending on his power. If he actually believes any of what he is saying it means he doesn't think looking for that single punch was the problem and gets beat down again and stopped sooner. His confidence is shot and he be better off not talking.

What an idiot. Trash talking the one man that probably saved his career. He should have been left to get his ass beat for as long as fury wanted to beat him. #excusesquad #chickenlegsquad #nosquatstillthisday
