    Wilder and his excuses

Note to Mark Breland - the next time? If you're still working with Wilder? Let him get his a** beat into the ground OK? This is pathetic. How dare he sh* on Breland like this. Breland knows what he was seeing.....another tall, long, lanky fighter who depended on his right hand getting beaten up and his right hand not working. Deontay is still drinking his own bathwater, and thinking his right hand is going to bail him out of everything. NO RESPECT FOR WILDER. How you lose is far more indicative of the man you are than how you win. First "...my costume was too heavy.." and now there's s conspiracy theory? GTFOOH WILDER!!

It's unfortunate that Wilder is going this route but I understand why it's happening.

Alot of his success was in full belief that his right hand would bail him out of whatever adversity he faced in a fight. That type of fanatical belief can take someone very far.

If he accepts what Breland did as right and sensible, he admits to himself that his power will not always bail him out of whatever adversity he faces. Its far easier to accept Deas' take on it and tell himself that his power would have saved him at some point. It's the only narrative that will allow him to enter that ring again with his confidence intact. It was that self-belief that allowed him to continue being dangerous in the first fight now matter how much he missed the elusive Fury. It was that self belief that salvaged the draw for him and nearly got him the victory in the first fight.

That being said, I think Breland saved him from a punishment with potential long-term effects. For Wilder to maintain his confidence, Breland may have to become a casualty in the shakeup. It's unfortunate.

He was going back and getting pushed back all night. On top of having no leg strength his awesome one punch power was depleted by the fact that he was exhausted going backwards with jello legs. His corner was extremely unenthusiastic. I see most coaches more emotional during sparring. Breland took his sweet time getting in the ring between rounds and ffs why don’t they take out the f n mouthpiece. The whole point of the one minute is to recover get as much oxygen as possible. You’d think a former fighter would know that.

What a load of convoluted bollocks Wilder is spuing out. Acceptance is the key to him. He`d of been better of saying " He beat me - fair and square. No excuses. No complaints. I`ll activate the rematch clause. And I assure the world I will find a way to beat him next time around. And I`ll go to the ends of the earth to prepare and do it" THE END. (Along those lines)

A bit of soul searching wouldn't go amiss.

He was far from dead. Didn't you see the fire in him when they stopped it? Dead men don't storm across the ring like that.

For Wilder's sake, I hope he is just truly trying to sell the next one. Fury will retire him if it's anywhere close to the beating he just took. I wondered if he had a concussion after the first knockdown.

Real character is shown in defeat. Now compare it to how Joshua handled his defeat

Anthony Dirrell and Mark Breland are suspects for sure, this whole fight wreaks corruption : illegal fouls counted as official knockdowns, UFC style grappling and dirty boxing, choke-holds, tripping Deontay, you name it. The palm-greasing was so obvious that Kenny Bayless had to penalize Tyson to veil the overt cheating going on before our eyes, but I'm not fooled.

Deontay Wilder needs to eliminate the real from the fake in his camp. If my su****ions are misplaced, then at the very least Mark Breland did not believe in Deontay 'Bronze-Bomber' Wilder. As such, Wilder can not trust Breland the next time he may find himself in trouble, another towel stoppage would be demoralizing. Mark Breland has to go.
