Anyone ever watch a Hagler movie? I’m curious whether they are worth checking out. Looks like a Rambo rip-off TBH.

I think both fights (AJ/Fury, AJ/Wilder) need to happen. Its kind of unfortunate because the ideal situation would have been AJ/Wilder to happen in 2018 while Fury was still shaking off the ring rust, then last year we should have gotten the AJ/Wilder winner vs Fury for all the marbles. That would have made the most sense.

Sad, really pathetic. Am even tempted to put you on ignore but I have a bit more respect for you. So am going to let this dumb post slide.

Marvin is right. The fight is overdue. Of course AJ now has mandos to take care of. Lets hope Wilder wins so AJ can't hide over in Europe.
Does the sport, the HWT division, or the world really need a another Dariusz Michalczewski?

Now, for the 2nd time, they've worked with Frank Warren, even working with Arum for the rematch. What else do they have to do?
The Haymon model seems to be make sure you pay his fighters a fair amount. When Hearn or Arum uses that same model its fine. When Haymon does it suddenly ts bad for the sport.
The only way certain posters will be happy is if Haymon takes whatever offer is given to his fighters while willingly giving the opponent all the advantages.
These posters will only give Haymon credit for making the sport better by letting the guys they like have an easier chance to win.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 02-18-2020, 02:42 PM.

Am in a thread relating to PBC and Wilder, so am not “Picking on them”, as boxing fans we should be sticking together against these lot. Just like me and you stuck together and denounce Top Rank and Arum when he wasn’t open to working with anyone else during the Pacman days.
So I don’t flip and flop due to my favourite fighter being aligned with a certain promoter or network. My blame is firmly on Haymon because the evidence is there not only with Wilder but with all his top names, the same cannot be said of other promoters or network.
Ramirez crossed the street, fought a unification, on other network, got paid handsomely, picked up the other belt, went back to his side of the streets with them, Arum (As much as I use to dislike him) didn’t pay him 200k to not take the fight. He let him, and Ramirez career is better for it.
JoJo Diaz just fought Farmer, took his belt, the same Farmer that PBC IG wouldn’t fight, Broner the same, Charlo the same. The history is there for PBC fighters, no one is “Picking” on them, we are stating the obvious.
The least you can do for the boxers and their fans is to negotiate when others want to, you might not come to an agreement for a fight. But sit down and negotiate, don’t try and pretend that others do not exist. This is not the UFC with MMA.

There’s too much money invested in the top guys to let them crossover. Same goes for PBC. There wasn’t a lot of money tied up in Ruiz so he was able to crossover and fight Joshua. There’s too much money tied up in the Charlos, Spence, Wilder, and several other fighters. I don’t necessarily like it but I understand the logic behind the decision. It’s the same way Arum and Hearn both run their business. Haymon gets a bad reputation because he doesn’t speak to the press. And he also has the biggest stable of fighters.
Or not defend one and criticise the other. So far the top names on every promotion are ready to cross over in the money is better. None of the “They are not helping so so and so card”
The only people that I see with that excuse are PBC fanboys.
