Let's just say you hypothetically were to get an ungodly amount of money if you became a world champion. But you got to pick either MMA or Boxing... You'd pick MMA. You wouldn't take the more difficult route.
That depends on what type of fighter I am. If I am a boxer or someone who is primarily some kind of striker, then heck no, I'm taking boxing. That's a no brainer. No way am I going to MMA with just my boxing skills alone and still think I could win a title. Nobody has ever done that. Look what happened James Toney? A boxing world champion and couldn't even beat old man Randy Couture.

Did you not read the part where I said that as a pure boxer, I can't become a champion in MMA? So obviously, boxing would be the easier route. Plus, I just gave you an example of a world boxing champion not becoming a UFC champion. It's right there in the post.

          Bro... Jesus Christ man... OVERALL....

I'm talking about WHICH SPORT is more difficult to become a world champion in. The ANSWER is BOXING.

THAT'S IT... No stipulations or magical powers... No talents... Flat out WHICH IS MORE DIFFICULT.

          Clean slate...

Are... you... clear? Please don't let me hold your hand again like this. For ****s sake.

In boxing, you use only your fists. No elbows, knees or taking your opponent to the ground to bail you out. If you aren't skilled enough with your fists, it's going to be a LONG night. If you are hurt, the referee will give you an 8 count. He will ask you if are ok to continue. If you are not ok, he will stop it.

No comparison. Boxing is much more civilized and is the true gentlemen's sport.
Bull****. Boxing is way more savage and dangerous. In boxing, with bigger gloves you get your head bashed in over several rounds. In mma one good shot and you're out with smaller gloves and the ref comes in to save the day. There's a reason boxing has several deaths per year as opposed to mma. You are clearly a newb when it comes to mma.

There is no "overall" here. It's not more easier to become a champ in MMA than it is in boxing. You obviously have no proof that boxing is the harder route. Learn more about the sport of MMA.

              Again:

This forum is absolutely unbelievable. I bet I'm talking to a kid who's never been in a boxing gym in his life, and he's trying to act like he can hold his own with me in a debate about this stuff.

Guys have entered the UFC... with ZERO experience in MMA and have won titles. I'm not talking about experience with ANYTHING else.

These guys can't get into the ring with boxers and succeed... Am I getting through to you yet, boy?

I feel like I'm debating with Chollo again. After I saw the dudes picture I felt like I had been arguing with a 5th grader the entire time.

Boxing is like Olympic Fencing. MMA is like Knights meeting on the battlefield.

I like Boxing and Jujitsu, but they're not real fighting. MMA is real fighting - and then some.

MMA its a completely different and shouldn’t be compared to Boxing , its like comparing Football & Rugby they may look a bit like the same from the outside but their not . I’m a boxing fan but both Boxing and MMA both have their own pros & cons

the UFC can quickly build stars and under 1 umbrella can almost always make the fights they want to make , in boxing because it’s so fractured and Media / Journalists will take sides then create false narratives making some fighters out to be ATG and non associated fighters aren’t mentioned or made to look like they arent sh.it , It does a disservice to the sport and fans picking sides and hoping for failure to anything not associated with a particular side

Which is so Re.tarded , imagine if it was common for b-ball fans to supportonly the West Conference or Eastern Conference and hopes the other Conference fails , somehow thinking that if this happened it would leave the sport and the Conference he supports in a better spot

people who think MMA is more brutal then boxing are completely wrong though. a guy get dropped
And the other guy lands a few hammer fist while buddy’s defenceless before it’s waived off , looks more Savage Optically but Boxing is a more dangerous Brutal sport that inflicts more Damage

In Boxing a guy will beat down get dropped with enough time for him to get to his feet still be f.ucked up get pummeled again get dropped get to his feet and possibly repeated a couple more times depending on how much time there is in the round or if he’s able gather enough of his
Senses that allows him to Continue may take non stop brain trauma that potentially can last for another 30+ min if he can reach the final bell

That’s the reason boxers who are the ones who die or suffer permanent life changing brain damage
The brain can recover from a few seconds of punishment , but when its continuously being beat on for extended periods of time it reaches a point where it may either will shut down completely or can’t recover from the damage being infected on it
