Stuff many have more or less said, but I think he just had it confirmed that Kov couldn't really hurt him at this point.

I think it was just a calculated risk fight from Canelo that he knew he could at least fight him close, and go 12 rounds...and we know how close fights will go for Nelo in Vegas.
I think this is the most probable thing

NSB really be wilding on these fights

41% voted for fixed...doesn't bode well for the future of this forum.

Now we get the convenient stories of Kova complaining the bout was too soon, he felt weak at the weight, or Canelo fans claiming Kova was shot, too old, etc...

Many ways to justify a choreographed fight.

Analogy with the Three Stooges skit.

          First stooge screaming: "I can't see! I can't see!
          Second stooge: "Open your eyes."

Could have been, it's a corrupt sport and it's always a possibility and the more money at stake the more likely it is... you kinda gotta suspend disbelief though, otherwise what's the point in watching?

Besides, there's plenty of ways of stacking a fight in a guys favour short of bribing or leaning on an opponent to take a dive (or drugging 'em or whatever) and the money behind Canelo ensures he gets the benefit of most of 'em.

Kovalev was impressive in that he actually made Nelo miss horribly which is rare as can be last many fights. Kov threw the same extremely high amount of punches as last few fights, his "pitty pat punches" were identical to the ones that stopped Yarde. Why don't you show us a gif about that fight?
everytime kov punched with anything behind it he got rocked your right. sometimes i wonder just what boxing fans actually know its like when it comes to boxing they are clueless somehow i guess hate

I know there's almost always a racial element in boxing matches but, this one, really?

It's a fight between a European from the Americas and a European from Asia. There's nothing to that. These guys could tell the media they're siblings.

I think boxing is just a notoriously corrupt sport so anytime people see a "too perfect/fairytale" ending they figure there's a 50% chance it was fake.

Me.... I haven't even watched it yet. No opinion.

It wasn't fixed. Kovalev just suffered of ex-Soviet syndrome, like Golovkin. They're afraid to let their hands go when they face an actual challenge.
