    A deal is in place for Canelo Alvarez to fight Sergey Kovalev contingent on the Russian winning next week against Anthony Yarde, Kovalev manager Egis Klimas told krikya360.com on Friday. Klimas said Alvarez is waiting for Kovalev to win his bout on Aug. 24 so both sides can "put the signature on the contract." The fight could take place as early as November or December.

      Canelo goin after old past his prime twice ko’d Kovalev - cherrypickn once again!! Would have been impressive when Kov was undefeated and on all p4p list.

          Wow no one is pushing them self's to the limit like Canelo! I wish a lot of PBC fighters would fallow this model.

          I believe a lot of the PBC fighters are good but they dont push them self's to see how good they really are.

              Considering Kov has a size and reach advantage, Canelo is gonna get that L. Age or not Canelo is the B side on this.

                  Why not just clean out 160? Why don't Canela fight Andrade to Unify the MW division? Why Target The Old Lion and not the Young Lion at light HW?
                  There's unfinished business at 160. If he does Fight The Krusher I hope he Krushes that man

                    Alvarez, Yarde, and Canelo would give Kovalev FOTY.


                    Conversely, Jacobs and Kovalev would give Canelo FOTY and FOTD.


                    But can Kovalev get past Yarde? I sure hope so. That would set up the Canelo fight with major award implications.
