I don't agree that AJ neds one or two confidence building fights before fighting Ruiz. He is 29 years old and has been a champion a long time. Either he can win the rematch or he can't. At this stage of his career I don't think beating an easy guy or two will change anything and not taking the rematch right away makes him look scared. Besides Ruiz could lose to someone else and then beating Ruiz would not regain his titles. He needs to study film of his loss and come up with a good fight plan and then train hard and try to beat Ruiz in a rematch this year as planned. If he needs confidence then have the rematch in England with his fans cheering him on.

Hire George. He's been through the nightmare. His was worse!! George will help him in training in the ring and psychologically. He's perfect for the task of reconstructing Joshua. His prescence in training and in his corner would be huge.

Lmao, same thing I was thinking, never seen so many legends lack confidence in a guy and want to protect him from a challenge.

Joshuas best chance of winning which is still great is to take an immediate rematch because stalling against a short guy you will not be fighting anytime soon will do Joshua no favors . Get back in there while you have that experience with that guy who in all likelihood will be your shortest opponent with 6'4 average contenders today.

If he loses he then revamps and then he can do what Foreman is saying. Not even Foreman who was great at hand picking guys could avoid this if he was in this era,one thing to suggest but this isn't losing to Tommy Morrison with no belt, hes telling a largely popular former unified champ with multitude of sponsors to walk away......HUH ?

                  Common sense 101.
You're right Foreman didn't face the social media pressure that Joshua does. Foreman does however know what it's like to fight, lose and win again at the highest level. Several of his fights are considered legendary (Ali, Frazier, Norton, Lyle, Cooney, Mooere, etc.) so it's reasonable to believe he's familiar with the type of pressure Joshua is under.

Foreman is just saying what many inside the sport have already stated. Joshua is probably not ready for a rematch mentally or physically. He received the kind of beating that takes years off a career. Joshua should take the remainder of the year to recover and develop a good game plan for return.

He's right only if Joshua can't fix what went wrong in a few months. If he takes the immediate rematch and loses, it's a full blown disaster. George, despite his positive talk, must be thinking exactly this.

Joshua wasn't able to hurt Ruiz, he knocked him down but he never hurt him. If Joshua isn't confident that he can go 12 strong rounds with Ruiz constantly applying pressure, he best wait till he can. Stopping Ruiz early might not be something Joshua can do.

revelated the Foreman discussion is in here. Your bytch ass doesn't need to make another thread where you can safely cry and share your feelings and the people you censor can't comment.
