Rival promoters and the opponents team don't think Joshua to take the rematch.

Of course they don't, they don't want Joshua to gain back those belts.

100% true. If Joshua is confident he can win and is realistic about why he lost - he should take the rematch. He can win 4 belts back.

This is what a fighter is - someone who doesn't give up when he loses and who wants to improve. He's always going to have a dodgy chin, but he's got pretty far with it so far.

Seems that a lot of posters are operating under the presumption that Ruiz landed a lucky punch that AJ couldn't recover from, thus Ruiz lucked into a win.

It's as if they didn't see Povetkin land similar shots repeatedly until he gassed. It's as if Ruiz didn't get up from a knock down and battle.

I won't say AJ loses the rematch because if he can keep Ruiz at the end of his jab he can win a boring decision. The loss was no fluke for AJ and his confidence in his ability to take a punch and his desire to take those punches like his life depends on it (championship mettle) is in question right now.

There are too many boxers that are on par or better than aj right now.

Wilder and Fury are just 2 of them. Ruiz another. Ortiz one more. Hrgovic Ajagba Kownaki Rivas Yoka Dychko...all very good prospects. Possibly also Gorman Dubois and Joyce.

If they have a chance, some of them will beat him.

IMMEDIATE rematch AJ will lose. Ruiz has his number and AJ needs to build his confidence back.

Isn't Foreman still salty after Ali didn't give him a rematch?

I have a lot of respect George, but I don't always agree with what he thinks. One thing I definitely don't agree with - 'he's the future of the division'.
Foreman seems to believe the hype that's been generated about Joshua that he's the king of the heavyweights - no way is that true. The Ruiz fight just proved it. The way he lost, and then ultimately didn't want to continue. That wasn't the performance of a great fighter.
Also, Foreman isn't really giving Ruiz the credit he deserves here, like a lot of people still aren't.
I'd never seen him fight before, and just assumed he was another fat heavyweight. He isn't.
Watching some of his other fights, and also just some footage of him on the pads, I think he has the fastest hands in the heavyweight division, and he's very skilled too.
Joshua has a very difficult obstacle in his path, and if he loses again, he has a hard road back to being considered to be at the top of the division.

Agree. He was laboured against Takam, Povetkin and Parker. Only just beat a 40 year old, inactive for 16 months Klitschko.
There are plenty of heavyweights out there better than the likes of Brezeale and Martin who will fancy their chances with Joshua.
