In a perfect world all 3 platforms that show
    Boxing would thrive

But it seems inevitable that 1 will leave the sport sooner rather than later

If I was to pick which one it’d be DAZN

PBC has network deals giving them 9 figures annually. Put on the greatest # of good fights and will dominate the most watched watched boxing telecasts in the States

Espn is committed for at least another 6 years

Dazn Right now Has a revenue of 275m annually. Has committed roughly 150m per year to 3 Boxers. Add in all the other Fees to broadcast boxing , Licensing Fees they’ve paid for other sports. Seems
They would need a huge increase in revenue if they plan on lasting long term

I don't see boxing landing on just one platform anytime soon or two or more platforms working together as often as fans would like them to so there won't be a W here for boxing fans if thats what you are suggesting is a victory.

The W thats up for grabs in my eyes is who becomes the next HBO for boxing not what platform is gonna be boxing utopia where the current bs of boxing ceases to exist.

And I still say its far too early to project that. If I was ranking them currently I'd say its DAZN #1, PBC #2 & ESPN bringing up the rear.

Unfortunately, with DAZN going exclusively "online streaming" we lost even the opportunity to get some cross-platform big fights we had in the near past... In fact, we shouldn't care "who wins" as long as we can't get AJ vs Wilder, for instance, only because of this "platforms war"...

... to be more specific: at this point, Spence vs Crawford is more likely to happen -- only because they both have TV networks behind them, which TV networks would be able to produce a joint PPV fight... While this isn't even possible with Showtime and DAZN...

I see the same problems as before.

I just see different ways to fix those problems since you do bring up a relevant issue.

I disagree. I think Wilder vs Joshua is more likely to happen before Bud vs Spence. And thats for the simple fact that money makes finding solutions to problems more likely. And there is just a ton more money up for grabs for people if Wilder vs Joshua happens then there is if Bud vs Spence happens.

Nobody is going to win. That's the problem. Fans will always lose though in these ****** network wars.

Top Rank gets pushed off of/relegated by ESPN's full throated committment to MMA/UFC (where they've already put tenfold the money that Top Rank ended up with).

DAZN still doesn't have the depth of quality matchups to convince any critical mass of people to sign up for the service at $100.

PBC has the money, depth of talent, and basic broadcast reach to be the leading force, right now, for basically the next decade.

2008, 2012, 2016, and a jump on the 2020 cycle (Lorenzo Simpson and Joey Spencer to start with).

I see your point here: "they're all shit, except the one I love"...

(my question "who wins?" wasn't addressed to the fan boys of a certain platform... it was more about the fast changing broadcast environment, tbh...)
