You also have people who subscribe to DAZN for MLB Baseball or for Bellator. What if you are subscriber but just wanted to watch the fight at the bar?
No one subscribes to dazn for a mlb highlight show when can watch highlights on mlb network... 1.2mil worldwide is not good for a canelo fight no matter how try to decipher or break down numbers, dazn needs to do a better job especially in states advertising app not just the week they have a major fight coming up

But sure the bottom would be 600k one could assume off of this news. Main thing with considering that the bottom doe is how many of those subs are gone after this month? Who f#cking knows.

If we can assume the 4M-ish number legit from a week or two for their worldwide numbers & 1.2M watched some part of Canelo vs Jacobs that would mean that the fight had 30% of all DAZN subs worldwide who watched the fight. That actually seems pretty f#cking high to me considering time differences, but maybe not idk.
Read the tweet I linked from Pugmire. He said he is hearing 600,000 is near the base subscribers DAZN has.

So basically Canelo vs ggg was seen by more homes in just the US alone at around $75 a buy than what Canelo vs Jacobs was seen world wide which at worst would cost someone with dazn $20.

            That's a pathetic number.

"The story says US viewership for Canelo DanielJacobsTKO peaked at 600,000, so that’s a strong indication of what the subscriber base is near, industry sources say."

I call bs on what Pugmire is saying. That don't even make no sense. Why would the peak US numbers for the biggest event on DAZN US thus far say what the base sub rate is???

Its EXTREMELY likely that a good % of those 600k viewers are canceling at the end of the month & they just sub'd to DAZN for this fight & for 1 month. This is a whole new thing there isn't a "strong indication" of sh^t yet specifically off of what he's suggesting its off of. The fact there is a yearly option & a monthly option suggest "base numbers" are gonna wildly swing or at least have a good potential to wildly swing from month to month or more specifically with fights of this caliber popping up.

They need to come up with a new way to compile ratings besides live viewership with the rise of streaming content.
Yeah the absolute minimum number of subscribers they could possibly have is 600K because they had at least that many live viewers in the US on saturday but it's just beyond ****** to think you have a subscription service that has 100% attendance lol I don't care what program or event is airing. People pay for DAZN for different reasons not all are boxing or Canelo fans. Those other sports have subscribers to, and not everyone can be home to watch something they subscribe to live. A lot of people DVR shyt or watch things on demand on their time table rather then the TV guide says. If you a football fan but you have shyt to do so you DVR the game and then watch it later in the day because you know you have DVR. Well DAZN is a app where all events are accessible at your finger tips live and ondemand instantly. Its not cable where have to wait 24hrs or more days for it to show up on demand so I got to catch it live or it ain't available until monday. lol It's like Netflix once it's available live it's available for you to watch when a time is convenient to you. To think no subscriber watched this fight 1hr or the next day? Or that none of the other sports on DAZN has a single subscriber that didn't care about Canelo is just foolish.

Everyone who has spotify or netflix doesn't all watch at the same time no matter what the event or new content they add. So if it got this many subscribers to watch live they must be at 1M subscribers overall or damn close.

Exactly! Me and both my homies that went to Vegas with me all have a DAZN subscription but we just watched the fight live. So there's three subscribers who didn't watch the fight on DAZN....

Canelo has a deal with Azteca which took away subs. They had 25 million + viewers for the Canelo vs Jacobs fight in Mexico. Wonder what his cut for Azteca is.

He has NEVER reported subscription numbers or any idea of how many subscribers they have he is making a guess based on yahoo reporting nothing more. We have had 2 insider sources last week saying they are close and approaching 1m subscribers and now a report from DAZN that of their total subscribers 600K watched it live. We don't know the full percent of subscribers they have versus how many watched it live. But if you just use logic this lines up to what 2 different sources reported last week. They are at or close to 1M subscribers.
