Forgot about that. I’ll be streaming personally, we’d considered going to see Usyk embarrass Bellew on his home turf would have been special but I don’t want to miss a single punch and ultimately decided the best view is an HD one.

What are you talking about? Usyk is easily number 1 or 2 P4P right now. The fight against Bellew is just for the money.

Bellew is at best a C+ fighter who wouldn't add much to Usyk's overall standing. I don't know about the UK or Europe, tho. Is he a P4P of something there?

Well Boxrec has him the UKs P4P #5, but much of that rests on the back of the Haye and Makabu wins - in reality I'd say down somewhere closer to 10, certainly not above the likes of Taylor, Saunders or Burnett. Dude's solid, but most of the rest of the world mainly remember him for getting KTFO by Stevenson which will colour opinions somewhat

Bellew was #5 by TBRB at cruiser and similarly ranked elsewhere I think before he moved up to fight Haye. The Haye fights shouldn't have changed how people view him, but they probably have... Regardless, Bellew's cruiser run has been OK if not spectacular and the dude's achieved a fair amount on heart and balls considering he ain't that great and I think Cruiser is a better match for him than LHW. I also think Tony would at least make a good fight of it with most of the other top Cruisers, but against Usyk I just think he's gonna be out of his depth.

I'm no Bellew fan but I don't get saying Usyk beating him adds nothing to his resume.

It's kind of like a unification, Bellew was a CW champion before vacating and moving up to demolish Haye twice as an underdog. I see it as beating the last guy with any kind of influence at the top of the division

The Stevenson loss years ago in a weight class he was drained in has absolutely nothing to do with now

All that said, I think Usyk will box his ears off to a wide UD and Bellew will ride off into the sunset having accomplished more in his career than he probably should have

hes undisputed in his division, something everyone else is dancing around in there division so I have no issues with it. hes the one fighter who can say hes the king of the division while everyone else is clinging to politics and money taking the diva rode. he also has no issues doing it in others backyards, gotta give him props
