Ortiz would have been more in his prime against Allen, he's also getting old now.

How did you conclude that from their last two perfomances? They're pretty similar performances just in reverse order, Ortiz gassed failed to finish Wilder and got KO and then knocked out a nobody. Povetkin knocked out Price (only slightly better than a nobody) and caused AJ trouble until he tired a bit and AJ was took the opportunity straight away and knocked him out.

With regards to skill, Povetkin seems like the harder puncher, quicker fighter with better movement. Ortiz has a better jab and defense.

For my money. However, Povetkin's skills have been proven on a higher level than Ortiz's have.
They should box it out, only way to clear this up. Man that would be an awesome fight, I really hope it can happen. I mean what else are they doing in the meantime? Neither one is going to get a title shot for awhile

Wilder is literally the most accurate HW in boxing according to compubox.

Pedvetkin started off 0-4 on all 3 judges cards to Takam, also barely sc****d past Chagaev, and got a favorable decision against Huck who himself made a career of robberies.

Couldn't knock out Rudenko or Hammer and came off a fight where he got dropped by Price.

Yeah I agree it would be a great fight although I doubt it will happen.

Fights like this, or like Whyte vs Parker where two top contenders actually fight each other for the right, is something we need to get back to.

Wilder went from fighting nobodies to the title.. same with AJ.. same with Fury.. Same with Ortiz.. same with Povetkin (this time around).

That's what I like about Dillian Whyte right now.

                  Malik Scott UD.

                  Enough said.

Ps he didn't get dropped by Price.

Wilder is the only heavyweight in the world who gets outboxed in every fight against mediocre opposition, and people still think he's the man.

Povetkin is not better especially after that performance. That dude kept throwing that same leaping left hook even after Joshua decided to just keep his hand on his jaw.
