All is fair in love and war. Kovalev said stuff about Jackson. Of course Jackson was going to respond but he couldn’t until after the Alvarez fight. Imagine if Kovalev would have knocked out Alvarez, Kovalev would have said much more about how much a bum Jackson was.

We didn’t hear any response from Jackson until after Kovalev was KO’ed. Can you blame him for responding after Kovalev was KO’ed? Me personally, I would have stayed silent and said nothing. His response makes him look more like a snake. But he feels redeemed for some reason, I guess.

But NO ONE knows what actually happened inside that camp for sure. We all heard stuff from either side. We can only speculate. But it is what it is. Jackson’s not training him, his reputation is damaged, and a lot of fighters won’t trust him based on what he did or what was said. And Kovalev is damaged goods from the losses to Ward & Alvarez. He can win again, just not against top light heavyweights. Don’t see him beating Stephenson or Bivol off that last fight either. Maybe move up to cruiserweight.
