Arum would make the fight if he thought Mikey was a walk in the park but anyone with any knowledge of boxing knows that's not the case.
Keep in mind that Arum was in position to dictate terms to every fighter Loma has faced because they were pretty much lower tier fighters that don't sell or bring in money. The GR Jr was made due to a purse bid. Mikey is top fighter that makes more money than Loma and has been headlining, selling over 12k in his last 3 fights. Arum knows its not the same dealing with a top tier fighter like Mikey and a lower tier fighters like Walters or Sosa. But he will use the excuse that Mikey commands too much money and won't fight on ESPN.

But after actually going to a gym and getting my ass kicked for a few years and watching hundreds (maybe a few thousand now) of rounds, I finally know how to analyze a fight. You honestly can't fully appreciate how good some guys are until you educate yourself.

But there are a lot of people who know better who hype fighters too far and will mislead the less informed. This Lomachenko hype is a prime example of that. He's an amazing fighter, but he's not Mayweather good (probably not even prime-Oscar good), but let some tell it, he's on his way to being a top 10 P4P fighter ever. It's crazy lol

It's like people who think Floyd jr. could've beat SRL or Hearns in their prime. Those sort of ideas are not based on an informed view of boxing. You gotta be humble enough to admit what you don't know.
You still don’t get it by the sounds of it. To think I was feeling the rounds of dedication you were putting in but then you go and say De la Hoya had more skill than Loma and undid all that great foundation you laid before mentioning cross dresser. Now I totally agree with you on Mayweather without question .However, I imagine there are many people on here that disagree and just see Mayweather at best, a defensive genius . I challenge any individual to go to their local Boxing club get in the ring with someone close to their level and just throw leather and see how hard it is. I’m a sucka for a body punch. I can get hit to the face for days but one body shot and I give you the constipated look.

Any De la Hoya has made my top 50 of greatest boxers that ever lived which is a testament to his hard work. I currently rank him at number 48, ... 2 behind butter bean who I ranked at 46

I am being realistic. I think Loma would beat Mikey. I agree Mikey will be Loma’s hardest opponent but mainly because of his size. Mikey is fundamentally sound but a fighter like Loma will hit him and jump out of range very quickly. Mikey is very calculated and doesn’t waste punches but still gets tired. Loma will make him work like never before because he will be missing like never before. I’m sure you have boxed do you know how discouraging it is to throw and miss or better yet get countered. Broner couldn’t do it, neither Lipinets and definitely not Easter. He has had things his own way. Mikey too has been dropped but I get your point.

Rigo was my boy and in 7 rounds loma made me distance myself from him. Say what you want about size on the night but Rigo was the harder puncher and had the longer reach yet he humiliated him and then didn’t want credit for it. That’s a bad man.i couldn’t stand Loma prior to that fight but if a fighter impresses me I become a fan. Mikey is yet Tom impress me but when he does I will be the first to apologise and then sing his praises

Arum has Garcia cornered into fighting Spence lol. Garcia should have entered that 140 tournament, I guess his people did not look ahead of the Easter fight. Garcia is B side vs Spence and has no belt, zero negotiating leverage in a fight that is not a big fight anyway. Spence can demand anything because he is lined up to fight the winner of Porter/Garcia if talks break down.

I'm not saying Loma wouldn't or couldn't win, I'm just saying that the risk of him losing vs Mikey is too high for arum. Mikey has too much bad history with top rank for arum to potentially give Mikey the opportunity to get his best win which in turn would be a real setback for arguably arums most popular current fighter.

...and that is why boxing here in the US overall appeal to the casual sports fan is as low as Hockey on the interest scale

too many road blocks to every big fight in boxing and the average fans don't have the patients for it or the attention span to wait for the best to fight the best

I give Lomachenko a chance of beating Mikey. Lomachenko is faster, better foot work, and he can box. The concern I have for Loma is size, and Mikey is really good at setting traps. Linares caught Loma, so it is possible for him to get caught. He has to box to perfection at 135 to compensate for size. Beltran isn't going to be a walk in the park imo, contrary to popular opinion on this thread. That guy is a suspected ped user, and he hits like a mule.

After the Ester fight the ones saying the fight can’t happen are Mickey and his brother. Mickey you say you don’t have a promoter then go fight in ESPN. Why you limiting yourself to only fighting in Showtime and fighting Haymon C class fighters. Fight the best fight in all networks. Let’s make it happen force it to go to purse bid.

I like Mikey and I think he beats Loma because of size strength and power but he's a free agent he should reach out to Arum if he really wants Loma. Both Arum and Mikey being stubborn. I rather that fight than Spence. Spence wipes Mikey out

Why would you doubt he wanted to fight Mikey? Mikey is not the boogieman, Loma is. Mikey is a great boxer but Loma has exceptional skills.[/
Lomachenko says he prefers an easier opponent than Mikey, coming back from his injury.

                      That's just a fact.

So this means no December fight between him and Garcia.

How are people somehow twisting this into "Mikey is ducking Lomachenko?"

Especially since Mikey is going after a monster in Errol Spence instead?
