The thing that I don't get is how this billion dollar model plays out when I don't know anyone who has ever heard of DAZN. And with Netflix already costing a monthly fee, cable and even the ESPN app, I don't know who pays for this considering that they only have boxing right now. I mean they could get some US soccer on their platform, but the big 3 US sports are already locked in on TV contracts which pay much more than DAZN will be able to.

We'll see though. (In a perfect world, Eddie Hearn joins the Haymon orbit, Showtime/CBS keeps their end of the premium content, and Matchroom Sport USA takes over the rest of the PBC deal from Fox Sports for DAZN, with BounceTV keeping their four shows)
He's got 16 dates for US dates plus the biggest budget in boxing, by a lot. Allegedly Showtime and HBO got ~$60M, ~$70M between them and Hearn gots $125M.
He's either gonna need to acquire Haymon guys or make ends meet with purse bid fights as others have mentioned til he acquires boxers who are entering free agency as he goes.
Boxing is filled with boxers who dislike their promoter and are looking for a guy looking to pay them more and get them bigger fights. So I think it's only a matter of time before Hearn gets the 6 to 8 names he needs to put on 16 US shows.

Expect a choreographed announcement synchronised with the first details of the subscription. Maybe they'll give the first month away free to get as many as possible using the service.
