Main Events Boxing apparently has 15 fighters under their banner, with Sergey Kovalev being the only one that HBO is kinda invested in.

No one really knows what deal Kovalev has, but Eddie Hearn could call Kathy Duva, and offer to air Kovalev's fights on DAZN. Duva gets 2-3 full budgets to build shows for, Hearn gets better content for his US broadcaster, and showing the full show gives the undercard guys more exposure.

Target folks not getting regular TV time.

All I'm saying is point to three US sports properties that you earnestly see leaving whatever broadcaster that they're on to head to DAZN.

I'm not seeing it, especially with everyone, outside of HBO, doing everything they can to hold onto sports properties, with Amazon, YouTube, and Facebook trying to get to the table too.

That's the big question. It's a much harder market to break. The money is one aspect, clearly the most important, but only one. Achieving a critical mass will be crucial because what athlete, team or league wants to be hidden away on a little viewed platform? So the two year period will be where they decide if they're on to a winner or nearly a billion dollars out of pocket (boxing is only one part of the puzzle).

those figures in the link I posted point towards a massive restructuring in broadcast platforms. Sometimes those who see this change coming earlier and get out in front of it clean up.

The rights will move to streaming services either way in my view. The only question will be whether new operators like Dazn will be running them or if ESPN, Showtime or similar can make the transition themselves.

Finally the elephant in the room will be Amazon or Netflix. Would either decide that sports rights would be a good addition?

You definitely have a point! I signed up for ESPN PLUS to watch Top Rank boxing and I was told I had to watch it thru my phone, laptop, or computer... I was like WTF! I said no biitch, I've got a big screen TV I watch all the fights on and I wanna watch it on that!
So the ESPN biitch on the phone told me to buy a Google Chromecast so I can stream it from my phone to my TV. Again I'm like WTF since IDK WTF a Google Chromecast is and IDK how to stream. But lucky for me my 12 year old nephew is a computer geek so I gave him some money to buy a chromecast for me and set it up for me so I'm good to go now. But I still gotta stream thru my phone. But all this paying for different apps to watch boxing is bullshet. Fucc Eddie hearn and his DAZN. I'm not paying for another Boxing app. I'm already paying for ESPN, Showtime and HBO so I'm done paying for more boxing. Fucc that shet!
