Comments Thread For: Promoter: Andrade Accepted, Derevyanchenko's Side Didn't Want It

Demetrius Andrade understandably is much more interested at the moment in fighting Gennady Golovkin. Artie Pelullo, Andrade's co-promoter, made it clear, though, that the undefeated southpaw still is very much willing to face another unbeaten middleweight. Pelullo told krikya360.com that it was Sergiy Derevyanchenko's handlers, not Andrade's side, that didn't want that intriguing middleweight fight when HBO Sports' Peter Nelson offered it a second time for some time within the first quarter of 2018.

Andrade has wasted his prime not making significant fights happen. withdrawing from the Charlo scrap was a bonehead move. the GGG camp can just ignore him as a big mouth nobody that brings nothing to the table.

and nobody gives a damn about GGG vs Derevchcuechnko.

why not just relocate Canelo/GGG to Texas. I'm sure they don't give a damn about none of this clenbuterol mess over there. and no matter how righteous GGG acts he will follow Canelo like a dog in heat.

Saunders is one delusional airhead. I guarantee that getting him in the ring will not be as smooth as Loeffler thinks.

and if GGG fights on May 5th against anybody else it damn sure better not be PPV.

Guy is a coward. Sure, Andrade shouldn't be pursuing a fight with a little man like Bumachenko, but when you parade the guy around like the p4p#1 guy and better than Ali than you bring this on yourself.

We only have Bob Arum to blame. LomaStanko should stay in his lane and worry about 135 / Mikey before attempting to fight Andrade, the guy is much bigger. They were talking about him replacing Canelo now talking about him fighting Andrade?

This little boy still has Salidoe problems, bit I'd he wants to get knocked into a teeny tiny little coma for his teeny tiny little body then so be it. Then he can fade away into obscurity like all these other Euro-Hupejobs.

He's also more stylistically similar to Canelo, who GGG is currently preparing for, than a lanky defensive southpaw.

You mean the same Andrade that was mandatory for Charlo and vacated his mandatory position so that he can face Jack Culcay?

Or the same Andrade who was mandatory for Lara after beating Culcay and vacated his mandatory so that he can fight Foxy?

Is that the Andrade you're talking about?

Andrade had barely just fought when offered the fight for December. They tried to pull a fast one and of course he wasn't ready hence why he was willing to take less this time. DiBella basically saying he won't accept that number but that the fight hasn't been presented to him. It's a mess. HBO should just pony up the $800k again and that leaves DiBella with no excuses. That's provided neither gets the GGG date.

I actually care to see this match and Jacobs-Saunders or Jacobs-Charlo than any other middleweight fight being so burned out over the Canelo fiasco.

Today everyone plays the Floyd game, they all consider themselves "the face of boxing", insist upon a bigger split, fight once a year and always have an excuse for not fighting tough match-ups in their division. That covers nearly every PBC fighter and every wannabe Floyd azz kisser.

BTW Demetrius Andrade has a dangerous offense but his defense isn't great and he's a bit chinny.

PS, if you notice, the only guys that don't play that game are Crawford and Spence....because they are the tough match-up in their division. Think Paul Williams.

My one concern with that all is - I think Golden Boy is main promoter of the card. Not sure how that works, but it might be that they are the ones who have the venue booked..
I recently read that Gary O'Sullivan is "main candidate" to replace Canelo, that would be terrible fight...
Yeah, that's possible. But with GGG being so adamant on sticking to that date, I would think they must have taken that into consideration.
