If Andrade was the fault of 300k cut then why would remaining 500k be split 50-50?

Credit to Andrade! He is stepping up and taking on GGG it that turns out and that is great. I like Andrade....his style is a very difficult puzzle to solve for any middleweight. He has more angles and timing than a lot of the upper echelon. True talent.

So you're out of the gym 3 weeks and that's an excuse not to fight? It's 3 weeks. Especially when you're moving up in weight, that can help you stay bigger. If it was at 154 I would understand, but 3 weeks off shouldn't make it difficult for Andrade to make 160.

It is bull**** that HBO reduced the offer though. HBO Boxing is a joke now. 500k is all you can bid for this fight? This might be the best fight they get offered all year on regular HBO. Now Andrade if you're reading this, don't get a big head, that's not saying much.

Hopefully Showtime buys this fight. Why wouldn't they want it? They need an opponent for Jermall Charlo anyway, assuming he's not going to go on the Al Haymon "duck every top prime fighter until you either get a fight with an old fighter like GGG, or cash out 10 years later" plan. Oh wait, that's totally what's going to happen...

But still. Showtime, or even ESPN, should pick this up. Move the offer back up to 800k, and you got a real nice middleweight fight.

BTW Demetrius Andrade has a dangerous offense but his defense isn't great and he's a bit chinny.

PS, if you notice, the only guys that don't play that game are Crawford and Spence....because they are the tough match-up in their division. Think Paul Williams.
Crawford is 30 pounds bigger than Pacquiao but used weight as an excuse not to fight Pacquiao 3 years ago, even though Pacquiao was already way past prime. Crawford said Pacquiao had to come down to 140 to fight him, when Crawford is actually way bigger than Pacquiao. Since when does a 180 pound man refuse to fight a past prime, 150 pound man at the 147 weight class? I agree with most of your post but that excuse Crawford gave to duck OLD Pacquiao is actually worse than pretty much any other excuse these Floyd wannabes give. You're going to demand a SMALLER weight class when you're 30 pounds BIGGER? The ****???

Crawford has also faced nothing but feather fisted punchers (and past prime John Molina who was way too slow and out of shape to land his power anyway, which they obviously knew) in TEN STRAIGHT FIGHTS ever since little Gamboa rocked him. His defense is better than Andrade's but clearly his team is just as concerned about his chin, if not more concerned, than Andrade's team is about his.

Of course. He looked like Sugar Ray Leonard against Alantez Fox. The speed and explosiveness looked better than his previous fight where he struggled against Jack Culcay. He moved up to 160 with the big boys and maybe he thought he needed an edge if he was going to stop ducking everyone. He doesn't even do VADA testing. He volunteered to start VADA immediately if he gets the GGG fight, guess what, if Canelo had started VADA this late, he wouldn't have gotten caught either. It's worthless at this point. He knows no decision will happen until mid-April anyway, so he can put that out in the press release, but know he can still use and cycle off before April 10th (or later) and not get caught because the testing really won't start until then when he's selected.

Who knows. I just want the fight to happen on an even playing field. Sick of all these duckers. How are we going to go from having both GGG-Canelo and Deryvanchenko-Andrade on the schedule to having neither?

This is why you should never praise boxing ahead of time. "2018 looking so dope! Boxing is delivering!" Ehhh, not so fast. Boxing has a way of ****ing everything up. And so do duckers.
