I'm not qualified to give these guys advice...but I think the soputhpaw vs southpaw aspect is gonna be a factor. this fight isn't gonna look like what we're used to seeing from either guy. I see there being more exchanges and less of the excessive lateral movement we're used to seeing from loma. always makes for an interesting fight when southpaws face each other with their power hands being closer to and the relative rarity that they face another southpaw.

If you were in Rigo's or Loma's corner, what advice would you give?

Rigo is not used to lead a fight, he is not used to fight a high paced fight and he is not used to the additional weight (probably mostly muscle mass), which is going to limit his stamina.
He has incredible timing with his left straight and knows how to trap his opponent. If he is starting to apply pressure, he is more easy to read, because his offense is not versatile enough to surprise Lomachenko.
What he should be doing is too slow down the pace. He is not going to outwork Lomachenko. Rigondeaux mostly throws throwaway jabs and follows them up with hard lefts. Lomachenko is much more comfortable with throwing dozens of light shots while sneaking hard shots inbetween.
Rigondeaux needs to make him pay, whenever lomachenko jumps in, so that Lomachenko starts to hesitate with his offense.
By slowing down the pace, Rigondeaux is going to be able to make it his fight, a high speed chess match with him being able to land the cleaner shots from midrange.
I hate boxers do it, but rigo should also add the notorious punch and clinch skill so that lomachenko cant do whatever he wants.
Maybe add some lowblows too.

Rigo's whole thing is waiting for openings, which is why his fights can be a bore sometimes.

For example, I hope Rigo to go into version 3.0 mode in which we didn't see in Donaire who was also cautious against Rigo.
What Rigo and Diaz are working in camp is to know that volume and activity might win some view from judges, so Rigo must respond in the same quickness in defense, even if he doesn't trade in return. Good defense wil nullfiy the perception of good offense and vise versa.
Therefore, Rigo just needs to stay on A Game Defense, which I think he will do better than what GRJ could provide, a GRJ who's knuckles are broke and couldn't spark

I would tell Rigondeaux to stay at a distance, force Lomachenko to reach in by taking a half step back when he starts attacking, and counter him whenever he see the opening. Also, slow the pace down and concentrate on Lomachenko's body. I don't think Lomachenko likes it to the body.
I would tell Lomachenko to crowd Rigondeaux and force him to fight every minute of of each round. Use his footwork, defense, and counters. I would be curious to see how Rigondeaux's stamina will hold up.
Obviously these two will have a solid game plan so it should make for a good match.
