    Exactly.

Parker has a belt, wooo well we all know that dont mean much these days.

Otherwise parker is bringing nothing, it's joshua who is bringing all the name value.

    20% is more than fair.

Parker should go after Wilder to strengthen his position vs his biggest pay day in AJ

Agreed, Wilder is the worst champ out there and a much easier fight than Joshua.

Eddie doesn't actually hold All the power

If Eddie continues to lowball Parker and Wilder, they may eventually choose to just fight each other for roughly 5 mill each. That means that Joshua will only get to fight one of the two - i.e. he misses out on another 20-30 million.

That's why Eddie can't get too cute here.

You can disregard who holds a belt or not, you can even discount what a win over a certain fighter would do for their credibility. When making a fight the ONLY criteria is who sells the most tickets, who gets the most views and who sells the most PPV's.

When it comes to purses in any big fight the simplistic question is, as far as revenue is concerned, what do you bring to the table? As Ben Shapiro might say, 'facts don't care about your feelings.' That is why Connor McGregor was able to make more money in his professional debut that many fighters make in their whole careers.

Now I'm not saying we have to like that, or that we feel as a concept it is 'fair' but that is how the free market works. So with that being the case an 80/20 split is more than fair because Joshua brings the bulk of the interest to the table in this fight. As Joe holds a strap and I know Joshua would of course like to unify, let's add an additional 5% to Parker for he strap and I come to a 75/25 split as being the best compromise for both parties.
Nah it's not quite that simple.

Wilder and Parker both have the power to cut AJ's earnings in two.

By fighting each other, Joshua will only have 1 unification fight to make = i.e. half the money. You can say that he could make money fighting anyone - and while I think he'd make lots of money fighting someone like Haye or Fury, he's not going to make that much more in non-unification fights.

Moreover the winner of Parker-Wilder would have 2 belts and a significantly boosted profile, making a 50-50 split possible, further eroding Joshua's earnings.

Be lucky you were offered a split - Hearn should have offered him a flat fee actually.

Hey, Mairis Briedis might be available or at least Christian Hammer - either way it's another 78,000...
Bull****! 20% is not acceptable, i would agree a 70:30 split but 80:20 ist just stingy by team Joshua and not acceptable for a unification-fight.
If Hearn wants this fight o get made he has to deliver a reasonable offer to team Parker.

He has a belt, and who are you to say what he deserves?

The point I was making saying he got 1.1 million was because some other posters were trying to say he got 700k which was incorrect.

I think the Aj mob just Wana price themselves out.

60/40 is fair in Aj favour obviously even 65/35.

                    But 20 that is ridiculous

I said it before I'll say it again hearn should put his money where his mouth is and 80% percent to the winner I'm pretty sure parker would sign right away I don't think AJ would.

Joey Paker has bigger fish to fry than fight this cheap bum Anthony Joshua. Parker needs to go where the real money is, Las Vegas U.S.A. Joshua is only good at selling 5 dollar PPV in the UK ; in America hes looking at 90$ minimum PPV buys with THE heavyweight champion of the world Deontay 'Bronze-Bomber' Wilder.

Eddie Hearn couldnt even afford Dominic Brassier for bum Dillian Shyte and they cant come up with the 7 million WITH Joshua included to entertain such a fight in the UK, Matchroom boxing and SKY are second rate platforms -- Showtime, HBO are THE leaders in the industry ; go where the money is Joey.
