Comments Thread For: Parker Will Face Joshua Next - If Offer Gets "Substantial" Increase

WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker is ready and willing to face IBO, IBF, WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua as soon as possible. Joshua returned to the ring this past Saturday night, and stopped Carlos Takam in ten rounds before a crowd of 78,000 in Cardiff, Wales. Parker retained his WBO title a few months ago in Manchester, when he traveled over to win a twelve round decision over previously undefeated mandatory challenger Hughie Fury.

When Parker sells 78,000 seats against a no-name, then he can get 50/50. Until then, be lucky you're even getting 20% because you really have nobody else to fight for even close to that money period. Be lucky you were offered a split - Hearn should have offered him a flat fee actually.

Hey, Mairis Briedis might be available or at least Christian Hammer - either way it's another 78,000...

Nah while Parker holds the belt , his value can only increase, he fought 2 runners, Hughie would make anyone look bad.
80/20 is a joke, Parker has beaten some good fighters, not easily but he's won, he's not as box office but 20% from Hearn is just saying I'm scared

Should be more like 60/40 in Joshua's favour

But like I said Parker's value can only increase the longer he has the belt and after 2 runners in succession, no reason for him to take 20% now.
He doesn't need to fight mando now so he should get an impressive win under the belt against a fringer and come back to the table after Wilder-Joshua .

I'm sure they want to be undisputed vs Wilder not Parker as it's the WBC belt and has US potential to be really big finale to unification.

The range for this fight is $30 - $50 million. So 80/20 would get Parker anywhere from $6 - $10. Although good money, they can jockey for a bit more here. I'd hold out too and push for 60/40 but be willing to settle on 65/35. Don't see why Hearn couldn't meet them there.

Lol at the people saying he should only get 20%

If Aj wants to bring his Aura back to its former glory he needs a parker or wilder win.

20% is crazy low, it's not like they are fighting someone without a belt.

Also he made 1.1 million on the Hughie fight and that's not counting any of the money from ticket sales or view sales.

If their so confident that theis fighter will win should make it 80% to the winner of the fight.

Povetkin is coming, you better take the Joshua offer ASAP, then Joshua should vacate

Parker already beat Takam right and Fury just saying. He holds a recognized belt. 70-30 and make the fight.
