Smart move. Cotto would have gone out with a guaranteed and no guarantee of survival.

            Wow... never expected this..

Ali will be able to draw a nice crowd in NYC.. and honestly it's not a bad fight. Cotto should beat him but Ali has all the tools to beat him.

Don't let Ali's career setbacks fool you, he is more than capable of beating cotto if he brings his A-game.

This is a terrible fight lol I don’t expect everyone to take the Bernard Hopkins route, but to spend your entire final year in boxing fighting guys who lost every time they stepped up to B level opposition, that’s ridiculous. We’d be fools to expect Lara, Charlo, Andrade, etc, to happen when there’s such a huge gap between risk and reward but at least go out fighting someone with somewhat of a name/credibility...

You are absolutely RIGHT on this.

Somehow I expected this kind of end after all the "this-will-be-the-last-one" ballyhoo. Cotto has been talking for years without involving himself in any notable fight.

And when he had one - Canelo - he lost very clearly.

This is like Floyd ending his career against Berto - and this opponent is actually even weaker.

or like Pacquiao, when he lied and stated that he was retiring..... to justify fighting Jessie Vargas, because him and Arum saw that it worked for Mayweather with Berto??? LOL

and then suddenly unretiring, only to lose to Horn

you always got some shht to sling around huh
