No matter if it was at 1 or 5, Cotto will most definitly weigh in much more then Mag. Thing is, no one should be bitching, if Malignaggi is upset, eat a couple hamburgers after the weigh in. Seriouslly, if both make weight at 1, thats all that matters.

Is someone going to tell me why the promotors have said the weigh in is going to be at 1, and nobody has disputed that...

Have they scheduled press conferences and/or promotional activities for friday afternoon?? Also, they possibly didn't want to hold the weigh-in concurrent to the Tarver/hopkins weigh-in.

Either way, this is a non-issue.

Cotto has weighed over 150 for all of his fights in which his weight was recorded on fight night. He will not weigh in at 146-147 on fight night. Likely, he will land 10 lbs north of that.

Paulie is small on the other hand and will come in at 147 max in all likelihood.

Paulie can win this fight though. I dislike him and his metro-*** ****** style, but he can win this fight.

Hahah, no way. He came in nearly 20lbs more against DeMarcus Corley. I think definitely he is doing this to secure a win. They don't want to take any chances against Paulie because they have huge paydays coming up in the future. Cotto can already take Paulie's punches at the same weight, now if he comes in 15-20lbs over, Paulie might as well be punching a wall with bare knuckles and every shot that Cotto lands is going to feel like a jack hammer on Paulie. I think it sucks for Paulie because I personally feel he has/had a great chance at beating Cotto by outboxing him. Now I don't know though I also don't care. Cotto is more the guy you want to see in the future because he can punch and be hurt which makes him exciting. Paulie with the lack of power is going to make him hard to sell in the future though he does have a great mouth which is always a plus.

Keep it to yourself, bro. Whatever you do behind closed doors is your business.

He will gain that with or without the extra 4 hours.

You must not have seen too many Cotto fights lately.

You can tell Cotto kills himself to make weight. His natural weight is probably somewhere between 170 and 180. His face is skin and bones everytime Ive seen him, so yeah I can see him being around 170 for this fight.
